What are you having for lunch/dinner? (Part 1)

Just had one and half beefburgers, with remainder of chips that I’d bought on Saturday, reheated in the burger fat. Chips were £1, bbs £1.19, so a cheap lunch.

Chicken defrosting to have later, supposed to be with the chips, but I changed my mind about lunch (omelette) when I saw the bbs in the Co-op earlier.

Might just do a mish mash of veggies.

Am now going to get a strawberry cone out the freezer…

We had Salmon Salad tonight.

Had a fry up - 1/4 pounder burger, two sausages, half dozen mushrooms and two eggs on a pile of oven chips.

Had a Count on Us spaghetti carbanara bit runny but ok I suppose - and 5 Jaffa Cakes for afters!! Well, they are low fat.

Tonight I am cooking Chinese Chicken Curry and Noodles, possibly spiced up mushrooms.

Vegetable pasty for me and a some broad beans and peas

Chicken pie for meat eater with chips and peas

Little miss is having tea at a friends - her social life is better than mine !

Made myself a pork slice casserole with a Colman’s Somerset Pork sauce mix.

Tonight will be chinese rice, chicken and bbq sauce, noodles, and some spring rolls on the side.

Lunchtime today I am just going to have a soup as my Husband is working today, so this evening we have got Fresh Salmon Steaks marinated in Thai Spices, with boiled potatoes, Courgette Bake and French Runner Beans.

tofu coated in sesame seeds and lightly fried, with a vegetable stir fry for me
chicken and vegetable stir fry for meat eaters.

Undecided. I can have: Steak & kidney pudding, chicken breast in a stir fry, Haggis, Steak & kidney casserole, lamb grills, Salmon, or Sausages.

Fresh peas, asparagus, mint and crumbled feta cheese-nice and light for a lovely sunny day.

No vegetarian option UJ

No Julie, I don’t eat rabbit food - give me the rabbit and I’ll make a delightful and tasty casserole or pie from it.:lol::lol:

You don’t know what you are missing UJ tofu was lovely even if I do say so myself.

Bleugh!!!

Oddly similar to what the rest of the family say :-p

For lunch I had a ham and tomato sandwich and I am just about to eat coleslaw and a turkey escalope.

I would have had cold chicken, but … yeah you guessed it, he’s eaten nearly all the drumsticks I cooked yesterday

Just popped in to say that my hubs has no appetite in this weather so I have been putting a handful of frozen strawberries, one frozen banana, a dollop of vanilla ice cream and some milk into my smoothie maker and produce a lovely cold meal in a glass. You can use orange juice instead of milk and ice cream and you can use fresh fruit as long as it is chilled. You don’t need an oven and only one pot needs washing.

Had a very naughty lunch today I made a banana cake and we had slices of that with ice cream. Not sure my diet or diabetes will approve but it tasted really nice !
