What are you having for lunch/dinner? (Part 1)

Is that all Rachel darlin’??? no cake, no biscuits??? - tut!!!:lol::lol:

We are having Salmon Salad today.

Crumpets this evening.

that’s all UJ but if he’s not eaten all the ice cream again I think we’ll have to test it in case it’s gone off overnight  … with chocolate sauce of course

I am not going to pander to the heat or humidity and so will have a steak & kidney pudding, potato and steamed veg with gravy. For ‘pud’ I can either have a magnum choc ice, or a fruit pie and custard. I also have lots of ‘proper’ fruit too so could round off the meal with some of that.

Tomatoe and courgette bake, with some toasted garlic bread, followed by strawberries and yoghurt, and a nice cup of tea !

Getting inspired by Rick Stein in Spain…going to try the Hake dish, looked great.

Don’t feel like cooking much today so hard boiled eggs with salad.

Ain’t it good what a little imagination, plus vaguely recalled cookery programme can produce from assorted contents of 'fridge? Have just prepared a supper for my son for when he comes home tonight. Diced up some left over boiled new pots, put into shallow oven dish with some whole cherry toms, chunks of chorizo, halved tiny shallots, and slices of haloumi, drizzled over some olive oil and balsamic vinegar, then sprinkled some garlic and herb seasoning. Will bung into medium oven about half an hour before he is due home. Pity there were no red peppers, maybe next time.

Ice cream’s gone again rolls eyes but he did save me the last spoonful … ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh

Piri Piri Chicken Breasts, R. Potatoes, R. Parsnips, Carrots, Cabbage, Baked Onion & gravy.

Cottage cheese with salad today, doing chips for anyone who decides they fancy them, so that’s everyone else LOL

yummmm … love cottage cheese but gave up all cheese a couple of years ago

Think I’ll have a ham and tomato sandwich with mustard … again lol

Different bread today … wholemeal with bits stuck on it.
I just buy bread (all kinds) when it’s reduced and bung it in the freezer.

Going out early tonight and not much time, so just a bung in the oven Asda create your own pizza and saled - they are good though

OMG, cottage cheese, the devils own food, bland, tasteless, disgusting texture, revolting to look at, and no matter what you add you will never get it to taste anything like real food. And in case you are wondering, no, do not like it

Now get off that fence Daisy and tell us what you really think

Laughing at Julie!

Yesterday I cooked a turkey roast joint (the £2.50 small round thing), with a full roast meal, and am having the same this lunchtime. As mentioned earlier, want to spend time on allotment but friend said why not have dinner now and go over later when it’s cooler? Yeah, good idea, so will probably take a little sandwich and tea/coffee, and work through the early evening.

Strimming (recharging now) and clearing up a load of discarded branches and stuff that will need sawing, to cut down in size. I have made a pile of junk that needs tidying up.

Lol … it’s also fab with chives in … mmmmmmmm my favourite was Eden Vale and I especially liked it with Tuc biscuits

Sorry, but no!! I have tried it with white onion, red onion, strong cheddar grated in, with pineapple, chopped Granny Smiths, with celery sticks, with crackers, with crackerbread, with various types of ryvita, and nope, nothing can improve it, nothing can make it edible.

So, tonight we had bacon egg, sausage, black pudding, mushrooms and beans. Then for pud, some several hours later I might add, we had pancakes with masserated strawberries and low fat squirty cream. Made I might add by my son, his first attempt at pancakes and very good they were too.

parmesan crumbed chicken breast, sweet potato mash with crumbed fetta and steamed broccolini - icecream for dessert
