The grandkids favourite, Tuna & Pasta Bake for dinner with garlic bread. All polished off so it must have been as good as usual.
I had tuna and sweetcorn over rice with sweet chilli sauce
Hmmm - decision, decisions. I could have Salmon on a bed of couscous, I could have sausage and mash, I could have haggis & mash, I could have faggots, I could have spicy Pork pilaff, I could have a chicken breast curry/or chinese with black bean sauce, I could have Steak & Kidney pud, I could have fish & chips or I could send out for a take-away.
Using up left over veggies and making an omelette today.
Toast with Laughing Cow for lunch and macaroni cheese for dinner
Took me a minute to remember laughing cow was a soft cheese
Had home made sweet and sour pork tonight with rice. Lovely.
‘Chinese’ chicken drumsticks with rice and stir fried veges. All cooked from scratch - no ready prepared ingredients or bottles of sauce.
Just had Gammon, potatoes, peas and swede.
Nothing in the freezer, apart from some Chicken, so making Chicken Curry and Noodles for lunch.
Roast rib of beef, home grown potatoes and whatever veges we have in the garden or fridge. It’s still a bit early for a lot of things here.
Home made coleslaw and cold turkey … erm that’s assuming he’s left me some cabbage
Ahhh - that explains why its windy round your place Rachel darlin’ ![]()

Lamb…garlic potatoes…french beans and small sweet carrots…
Made a lemon meringue pie for afters…
We had Pork Chops, cubed potatoes, courgette bake.
Broccoli and cauliflower with a cheese and onion sauce.
Carrying out some of my own deletions.
Well I had to use the red cabbage he’d left :shock::shock: … doesn’t taste the same as white cabbage and it looks a bit odd lol but there you go sighs
For lunch today I had a ham sandwich with Coleman’s mustard and a tomato
On Saturday we had a chicken and leek casserole cooked long and low, so the meat melted in the mouth, served with roasties and French beans and sweet corn.
We had a huge lamb shoulder chop each last evening, with delicious new potatoes, cauli, broc, carrots and sweetheart cabbage, with lashings of gravy and mince sauce. (I always forget how much I love cabbage).
As for today, have not even thought about it, although we do have a couple of bream in the freezer, or maybe belly pork, there again we are contemplating the cinema which usually means eating out.
Just had my morning porridge and will no doubt have a ham, tomato and mustard sarnie for lunch
