What are you having for lunch/dinner? (Part 1)

He won’t have his foods touching each other so quite honesty it would be wasted on him UJ add to that he doesn’t like bacon anyway LOL

We had Chicken Salad today. Might have Crumpets later.

Spaghetti Milanese with a breadcrumbed Turkey steak and a glass or two of red wine.

We have just had Belly of Pork in Chinese Sauce, R. Potatoes, Baked Onions, Carrots, Swede and Gravy.

Steamed Carrots, cabbage, broccoli, cauliflower and sausages.

Had one of the faggots last night, made swedey mash, heated the faggot through in a thick onion gravy and served with carotts and petit pois. It was yummy. But have no idea what to have today. Thinking cap on.

Tonight, after a bit of thought, will be an experiment, sort of. Am going to mince a lovely lean piece of skirt, fry in some olive oil with chopped onions and garlic, then will add tomato purée, tinned chopped tomotaoes, a beef stock cube and half a pint of water, plus some Italian herbs, some bay leaf infused oil, and some orzo pasta, will cover and wait for it to absorb some of the liquid, then serve with lots of grated Parmesan. A sort of bolognaise/risotto fusion yeah?

Orzo is fab. it’s good cold in salad as well, if you have never tried it!

I am having salt and chilli grilled chicken thighs with a jacket spud with crème fraiche, green salad and a large corn on the cob DRIPPING with butter. . . well my last blood test showed my cholesterol is below the limit so one has to push the butter-boat out from time to time, eh?

Lunch was a sausage and onion sandwich, then for supper salmon steaks cooked under foil with plenty of lemon juice, and boiled potatoes, carrots & peas. And an almond Magnum afterwards.

Have just eaten Chicken Curry and Noodles.

Cereal for supper tonight.

I have not the slightest idea what to have for lunch. I was going yo have a ham sandwich but I just don’t fancy it. Nor an omlette, ham or otherwise.
I suppose I am just not really that hungry.

Not something I suffer from Jag darlin’ - despite it being warm and sunny here, will still be doing a full ‘Sunday roast’ in a short while.

I know how you feel, having a small bowl of cheerios and milk it should be enough today.

Chicken Salad today.

A few weeks back I picked up a nice treat in the reduced section at Tesco, a pair of ‘three chop’ pieces of lamb, I think they had served the rest as a crown roast or something, anyway for £3.50 I was not fussed. I was considering cleaning the bones and making a mini crown, but that idea was vetoed as son said that was his favourite part. Also vetoed the idea of separating into chops, so they will be put into ‘swirly thing’ and served with runner beans, caulli, carrot/swedes mashed together and either mash or tiny new pots. Mmm. Actually feeling hungry now lol.

Swirly thing? Like the washing machine?

Lamb chops for me tonight. My favourite meat…drool

No Margoletta, it is our name for the halogen oven lol.

Actually I kind of thought that might be it! I have one as well, haven’t used my big oven or grill since I got it just before Xmas last year. It’s marvellous, one of the best kitchen appliances I have ever bought:)

Tonight we are going to have a type of pasta known as Mafalgini it is sort of like linguini but with ruffled edges, pretty, and it has a more, solid sort of chew to it. Anyway we are having it with a jar of carbonara sauce with added ham. As we will be eating late it will be a sort of light(ish) but filling meal. Well I know what I mean lol.

We have just had Chicken and made my own Ratatouille sauce, with potatoes, cabbage and mixed vegs.
