What are you having for lunch/dinner? (Part 1)

Got a chicken from Lidl today with 30% off as it’s near it’s use-by date, so garlic roast chicken with rice and a green salad for me, and a glass or three of rose wine, 'cos it’s Friday!

A Count on Us meal for me today, Chargrilled Chicken and Asparagus Risotto, yummy!

Have just had Roast Gammon, Roast Potatoes, Baked Onion, French Beans & Carrots.

Well its Sunday, so back to full Sunday roast again. Don’t care that the temperature may rise to 24 or even 25 o C, Sunday isn’t Sunday without my full roast lunch.

Today we are having:

Chicken cut into cubes with red peppers, onions, courgettes, garlic & chilli in a Ratatouille sauce with boiled potatoes, dark greens & mix vegs.

.

Cold chicken with cold veggie bits - roast red peppers in vinaigrette, beetroot and coleslaw.

Perhaps a discreet burp will be in order afterwards… It could be a trifle windy this afternoon.

Rachel’s been at the Vodka again.:lol::lol:

lol … nah not yet … 'tis Sunday

Well today is Adams birthday, and some time back I bought him a ginormous T Bone which has been sitting in freezer waiting for today. Yesterday bought some Gorgonzola and Elmlea single cream to make his favourite blue cheese dressing, and will serve it with spicy potato wedges, onion rings (proper ones not those frozen ones) and some salad. As for me? Have no idea, but am sure will find something lurking in the freezer.

I’m doing some really nice Pork Chops that I bought at Aldi but I’m not sure what to do with them 'cos my wife’s appetite isn’t great at the moment.

Have to ask her when she wakes up again!

Might try one of those rice fusions or a risotto mix we’ve got - dunno yet!

Bit hot for a roast dinner. stevmk2

Steve matey, I’ve already eaten my ‘Sunday roast’ lunch. I make no allowances for temperature and despite the fact my room thermostat reads 24 o C, I still eat a full meal.

I’ll have to go by what my wife wants Joe - it’s her that’s saying it’s a bit too hot for a roast!

To be honest, I’m not a great one for roast dinners either when it’s warm - I did chicken with a full salad yesterday and she ate the lot - well, nearly all, but that’s good! stevmk2

Mmmmmmm … sounds yummy

Hope he enjoys it all

Cauliflower cheese today, meat eater is off his food a bit, managed a piece of toast this morning but not felt much like anything else.

Oooohhhh - that will never do!!! Would have to be seriously ill to be ‘off’ my food.

It’s grief UJ he hasn’t been eating well since Tasha died really.

I found it too hot to cook, so I took a Chinese out of the freezer.
He was lovely;-)

Defrosting are parmentier potatoes, cooked chicken and a packet of ham (supper). Might have cheese on toast for lunch. (Something I miss when I’m away from home.)
