Just had Chicken Penicilian with mixed vegetables.
steak & Kidney pudding, steamed potatoes, veg and gravy.
Potato and celeriac mash with iceberg lettuce and spring onion salad and hard boiled egg.
Meat eater is eating out today meeting after work making him late.
Funnily enough, yesterday afternoon there was a hairy bikers programme on in which they made a spicy chicken ball soup, and they commented chicken broth/soup was frequently called ‘Jewish Penicillin’ and that some scientists had done some research, the conclusion of which was that it actually DOES help alleviate the symptoms of a cold. Howzat then? Forget the scientific details but it was something to do with the way the aroma and heat stimulates the nasal hairs and reduces a runny nose and snuffles. So there you go.

Got some potato and celeriac mash left from yesterday so will reheat that and have cabbage and leeks with sausages (veggie for me and pork for meat eater).
So far today have had one cup of coffee, and have no idea what dinner will be, however am just off into town to have a look see what is on offer.
Today was Salmon Salad, might have the same tomorrow.
Today we are having Fried Egg, Bacon, Chips & Beans.
