What are you having for lunch/dinner? (Part 1)

Managed some crackers and cheese might leave it at that today but it’s better than yesterday.

Home made chicken and mushroom soup, with buttered bread. Stewed plums and custard. And now warmed up home made bread pud with a cuppa.

Tonight we had Hoison Chinese Chicken and Singapore Noodles.

Today for lunch we are having Roast Gammon and vegetables. Tonight don’t know yet.

Bought a Pork shoulder joint from Iceland the other day. I stilll have the remains of a large bottle of cider, so once again pork in cider in the slow cooker overnight last night - full pork roqast for lunch and I still have some bread pudding so can have another slice of that with some custard in a bowl for ‘pudding’.

Joe, for a “commie”, you and I share very similar tastes in food. Pity you live so far away, because I’d invite you to try some of our home-reared Saddleback pork. It’s excellent.

We had a roast rib of beef and for dessert, A dram of ‘The Glenlivit’ 18 y.o.

Cheese savouries, quiche, tuna sarnie with lettuce and mayo, toast with marmite, chocolate (milk choc … yuk) coffee, red wine and lemonade

Sunday we had boned and stuffed (by me) chicken thighs with roast pots and parsnips, kale, sweet corn and cauliflower.

Today we had a Fry-up, tonight its homemade Carrot and Coriander Soup.

Tonight 'tis lamb chops, charlotte pots, runner beans and carrots, may make a milk pud for ‘afters’ not sure yet.

Haven’t got a clue!

The lamb chops were delish, very tender (Lidl 4 quite large ones for just under £4). And have just taken. Couple of sea bass out of freezer.

Now answer me this, they seem to cycle between trout and the sea bass on offer at about £2 or£3 each, the lady will then kindly clean, descale and fillet the fish free gratis and for nowt, whilst at the same time selling scaled fillets for considerably more!! Doh! Even she cannot fathom the logic, or lack of logic.

Doh, even I can work that one out.

We are having Thai Curry and Rice today.

Well I cannot. Basically you are being asked to pay almost double the price for sea bass fillets which have been hanging about for who knows how long.

From the remains of the Pork shoulder joint I had on Sunday - will cook a pork casserole.

For supper last night, using up food already available and not wanting a big meal, I did 2 slices of toast, put marmite on, then the remains of baked beans on one, and a fried egg on the other. Yummm.

What??? No sausage, no burgers??? - Oh Jan, disappointed, letting the side down.:lol::lol::lol:

Off my food again, really just can’t be bothered so will have a protein shake that always fills me up and keeps me going.

Ooooohhh - that’s disasterous Julie darlin’ - can’t imagine being ‘off’ my food unless I’m seriously ill.

Too early to thing about lunch, but it might be a pickled herring salad.
