What are you having for lunch/dinner? (Part 1)

We are having Chinese Chicken Curry and Rice.

Sounds disgusting

Not decided yet but could quite possibly be pizza, maybe.

Tonight it will be Hunter’s Chicken, which is: Chicken Breasts with cream cheese wrapped in bacon, roast potatoes, parsnips and vegs.

Lunchtime I will finish of my Sausage Stew which I left the other day.

Don’t you think its about time you had a change of diet. I mean I mean popcorn with salt and oil is one thing but it must get boring, popcorn, popcorn, popcorn, for heavens sakes have change. Melt a mars bar and pour it over the popcorn.:-p

Tonight we had Fish Fingers, Mash and Beans.

Not really hungry…I’ll just have an early night with a Mars and a Kit Kat…

KitKat got a good pair of dumplings for you Paul.

I was thinking of going down the road to the pie shop and getting my last piglet pie of the year this morning, but its blowing a gale and pouring with rain, so I don’t think I’ll bother. I have some bangers, I have tatties I even have baked beans so it’s likely I’ll have bangers, mash & beans at lunchtime.

Not like you UJ to miss out on the piglet pie, the weather must be bad. Would they be alright frozen do you think just in case this happens again., I know somethings just don’t do frozen.

Talking of baked beans I found some soy beans in the cupboard when I was having a room making clear out prior to Chrissy goody buying I found a baked bean recipe and made baked beans in the slow cooker. Not too impressed they seemed very sweet cos you need either very dark brown sugar or molasses, I used the dark sugar. Won’t do it again but I’m glad I did.

Cate darlin’ - most things can be frozen, but cooked pastry goes soggy when you defrost it again so no. Can’t get down to pie shop 'cos the weather is so bad - been blowing a gale and raining hard all night and hasn’t stopped since.

We have just had Sweet and Sour Chicken and Singapore Noodles for dinner.

We are having an Indian Take-away at lunch time today.

Just had roast lamb, carrots, greens and peas and Yorks puds.

Some weeks ago I bought a ‘cook in’ bag of ‘pulled pork in barbecue sauce’ for less than half price at Tesco, bunged it in freezer and forgot about it. Found it yesterday and so today Matthew, we are having that with garlic mash and french beans.

OH and UJ, just a thought, but cooked pastry will crisp up in the oven, but of course this depends on whether you like your pies hot or not.

Love the sound of the pulled pork. Yum

I’m having roast pork slices for dinner tonight, with a slice of ham, stuffing and sausage meat. Got the usual roasties in the oven, and will have broc, cauli and carrot, apple sauce and yorkie, and a glass of pear cider with ice.

For dessert, bloody cheesecake again! (the last portion, and I’m getting sick of it. lol )

Got me grip, MKJ!

Lunchtime dinner today, we are having Roast Gammon, R. Potatoes and Vegs.

I make or even buy pies when discounted and freeze them, you can heat them from frozen or defrost but I find they taste as good as new. I make a ton of mince pies and freeze them so we can have hot mince pies throughout the holidays.

Just knocked up a batch of Tomato, lentil and Chorizo soup to freeze, handy for the days after Christmas excess, nice and easy to reheat a portion for my lunch.
