Stop making so much popcorn! (Must get my machine out and have a go.)
For lunch today I have eaten:
2 cake halves (Tottenham cake and coconut cheesecake)
About 3 mini redcurrant puffs
3 small slices of toast and marmite
5 sausage rolls
large cup of tea
3 chocolate mint thins
I was Hank Marvin after all that work with the animals!
Pan fried chicken breast with peas and chips for meat eater
had the chips and peas with a papa johns special garlic sauce myself, not sure what they put in that stuff but I could live on it I am sure !
Scoffed a piece of breaded chicken which I cooked yesterday.
I’m in a hurry to get to Mum’s.
Managed to inhale some of the breadcrumbs, which made me cough and sneeze … not always a good idea eating on the hoof is it
definitely not, have done this several times with a boiled egg and it is really scary as the egg is so dry it just won’t shift and you think you are choking to death:blush:
Oh Rachel, you ok? I was eating a coconut covered choc wafer some years ago at work, and did the same thing. But I WAS sitting down in the staff room. It was just a fine particle of coconut but blimmin eck, you see your life flash in front of your eyes!
Last night I had the rest of the meatloaf with roasties again.
Today I am defrosting some chicken and will cook later in lemon herb crust (breadcrumbs in other words - Asda). Might do bubble & squeak with.
And if I can find my raw popcorn, might get my maker out and pop some!
I love cheese, most cheeses in fact, and love all sorts of stuff with my cheese, relishes, pickles, fruit, especially love cheddar lettuce and mayo sandwiches, like cheese hot or cold, but cannot stand any cheese with stuff ‘in’ it.
Tonight we had a sort of ‘hybrid’ pasta meal. Had intended to make a lasagne, made the meat sauce then discovered that the box of pasta sheets only had three sheets left. Oh bum! Never fear, cooked some macaroni, drained it, mixed it into the meat sauce and turned out into lasagne dish, topped the lot with a cheese sauce and sprinkled grated cheese over it and bunged it in the oven for top to brown.
Was actually quite delish. I do believe I saw something similar on triple D served in a Greek restaurant so not exactly my own invention.
Saturday night’s tea for me was a little lamb chop, with little new potatoes, mashed carrots, a piece of cauliflower, gravy and mint sauce. My word, it was most tastyful.
