Vegetarian burgers with broccoli for me, sausages and broccoli for meat eater, fish fingers broccoli and mashed potato for everyone else.
eaten a quiche from Tesco’s by mistake
Just had cottage pie, leeks and peas followed by keylime pie.
I’m having sherry on ice for dinner tonight. Tomorrow my mate is visiting so I will be having sherry and whisky on ice. I believe in having a varied diet
.
How can you eat such a thing by mistake
? Do you mean you thought it was something else or that you shouldn’t have bought it from Tesco or both? Or that you gorged yourself stupid cos it was so delicious hence it was the wrong thing to buy as you have no self control? I could go on and on. What is the answer to this mind boggling conundrum?

Still have a lot of meat left on the bone of the lamb joint from Sunday, so will strip the meat from the bone this morning and make myself a lamb curry!!!
In a word … yes
self control ? wassat ? ![]()
Vegetable soup today, got some tomato soup on for meat eater but can’t stand tomato soup myself LOL
Just had Chicken Gougons and Chips.
Thought I had more meat left on the joint than I actually did, certainly not enough to make a decent curry from, so will do some ‘bangers & mash’ shortly.
Add more vegetables UJ, curried veggies are even better than curried meats !
mmm I love vegetable curry with a Nann bread.
Nah!!! - too late!!! - I fried up half-dozen ‘bangers’ with an onion, made some mashed potato and placed some frozen peas in a saucepan with some water. All came together very well and it disappeared off the plate at a rate of knots.
Will take a chicken breast out of the freezer tonight and make a chicken curry tomorrow.
Am I the only person who isn’t fond of curry? Though I do like hubby’s chicken korma
Put two pork cutlets trimmed of fat, into a dish of onions and gravy, baked for an hour and served with cauli, broccoli and swede & carrot mash. I found a couple of frozen baked potatoes which hubby had - he mopped up the gravy with two slices of wholemeal bread!
That reminds me of the pork chop/cutlet casserole I used to make. We called it ‘Seal Chops’
Adapted from an Italian recipe I think.
Pork, tinnned toms, garlic, potatoes, erm … onions ? (can’t remember) … and apple juice or wine + a stock cube.
I used to stick to the original recipe, seal the chops/cutlets first ~ hence the nickname (Seal Chops)
and faff around forever.
Later I bunged the whole lot in a pressure cooker ~ simple
Rachel darlin’ - swop the apple juice for cider (scrumpy???) - gives the gravy an alcoholic boost!!! - Fab(hic)ulous!!!
I don’t eat curry Janela. Dn’t even like the smell.
Yesterday afternoon I knocked up a fairly decent mushroom soup. And I don’t even like the things. Blended it afterwards making it palatable. Next project: home made carrot & coriander soup.
Last night’s supper was a fry up: 2 little sausages, 2 bacon rashers, fried potatoes, egg, baked beans, small piece fried bread, small piece buttered, and a large cup of tea. Lovely.
Not sure about tonight. Might be a chicken kiev, with a cheesy potato, or it might be a chicken pie with veg. Wasn’t keen on these pies, as they have a creamy sauce so I can’t have gravy. Should have returned to Tesco, theirs were nicer, and did have gravy inside.
half a dozen sausages UJ? I can only manage 3 the most.
Jan darlin’ WHAT??? no mushrooms???, no hash browns, no Black pudding??? - sacrilege!!!![]()

Yes Susie six, I normally only have four, but I wasn’t about to put two sausages back in the freezer, so I cooked and ate them all.
Just had tomato soup for lunch. I made it earlier today from our own toms. Yummy with a crusty roll. No more cooking today, we go out to eat on Thursday evenings.
