What are you having for lunch/dinner? (Part 1)

Uncle Joe when did you learn to spell diet, I am shocked and amazed that you would even think of such a thing.

Lunchtime today we will be having vegetable soup and buttered roll, then this evening it’s Chicken Salad.

Cate darlin’ - could always spell the word (my school was always ‘very hot’ on spelling) just that I have no conception of the meaning of the word. I just LUUUVVV my food!!! Am a chocoholic, cakeaholic, biscuitaholic and everything eleseaholic. Just call me ‘hoover’ as I clean up food just like a vacuum cleaner.

Today we had Lamb Shanks, roast potatoes, broccoli, swede.

Might have a Cheese Tiger Roll later this evening.

Sharwoods do a nice ‘Biriyani’ sauce mix, so made myself a chicken curry this afternoon. Was really good and has filled a little hole.

Tonight we are having Chicken Gougons with oven chips & beans.

Last night my husband cooked Fish Pie with vegetables. It was absolutely gorgeous. Was trying to eat it before it cooled down burnt my mouth on the sauce a couple of times.

A nice filling beef casserole with loads of veg in to warm us up!

Not a lot is the answer today, got a cold so not really fancying anything much other than a hot blackcurrant drink and a lie down. But no blackcurrant in the house and got to go to work later so hey ho LOL

Tonight I am having a nice piece of flash fried Haddock!

I hope you are having chips and mushy peas with your Haddock!!

No I prefer rice and peas, I like my fish shop fish with chips and curry sauce, sometimes mushy peas.
By the way it was beautiful.

I see you didn’t save me any!!!

Sorry Sue, but it was a small meal, I now eat 4 small meals a day, because I have stomach problems at the moment, and it seems to suit me at the fine.

Today we are having homemade veg. soup for lunch, then tonight homemade chicken curry & rice.

Doing a chicken breast wrap thingy for meat eater and having mushroom soup myself

Making a littler version of the chicken wrap for great niece as she is here today not feeling too well, just a cold like the rest of us have but she has a dreadful cough keeping her awake at night making her feel worse than us so day off preschool wrapped up at home for her.

Tonight I am having some cheese and thick crusty bread with caramelised
onion chutney, red wine and washed down with a nice bottle of Spitfire Ale from Shepherd Neame brewery . While watching something nostalgic on you tube. What better way to spend a Friday evening.

Off to the pie shop again later this morning for another of their delicious Pork and Apple pasties!!!

You are very naughty Uncle Joe, think about your Diabetes!! You should be eating lettuce leaves instead

Oh Susie darlin’ - lettuce leaves??? errrgh yuk!!! - rabbit food - rather have the rabbit itself to casserole. As it was, I was detained in a 'phone call and didn’t get to the pie shop untill too late - they’d sold out:cry::cry::cry: Had to buy a normal Cornish pastie instead - nice - but not the same.
