I was going to put chorizo on it got it out of the fridge …but totally forgot to chop and place it … Gutted … as thats the best bit , still save it for another day…
I have some chorizo in my fridge. I tend to use it in casseroles and stews - adds a lovely peppery tang to them.
I like hot chilli one as im bit of a chilli freak… I add chilli to everything including my evening hot choc…
it’s Wednesday roast chick dinner.
Baggy darlin’ you should have met my Grandmother - Grandad worked on Indian Railways and she used to spend time with him there. She made her own curry - the same colour as chorizo, hot enough to burn the roof of your mouth off.
Id of liked your grandmother … did she hand her recipies down to you ?
I do a good job at burning peoples mouths myself :0O
That was my Maternal Grandmother - and no I don’t think you would have liked meeting her - she was unpleasant in the extreme - even to us kids. On the other hand, my Paternal Grandmother was a different character and I take after her - she was a rebel - was a ‘match girl’ at the Bryant & May match factory and took part in their industrial action (George (my dad) had a press cutting and photo of Gran on the picket line laying about this Policeman with her rolled umbrella. She was a Suffragette, and was conscripted into Woolwich Arsenal during WW1 making shells for naval guns - she brought one home with her (don’t ask how no-one ever did find that out). I used to play with it!!! - it was only after she died we found out thatn the shell (a 6" naval shell) was still ‘live’.:shock::shock:
Gosh what an interesting history you have … and you were very lucky
I was a bugger for playing with fire works as a little kid … how I got away with out blowing my self up I dont know , once my brother and I took my mums washing line out of its hole stuffed it with bangers put the pole back lit the fuse and ran … it flew out and through my dads green house our legs were well tanned for that one …
Can do better than that Baggy darlin’ - come from a long line of Railwaymen. My uncle got hold of the detonators used on rail to warn drivers of danger ahead. He wired three together and made a ‘banger’ of them for one Guy Fawkes night - when it went off, it shook all the windows in the neighbourhood for 100 yards.
Returning to the topic …
Baked salmon, Mediterranean rice and salad …
If you want to eat something hot, try eating raw garlic clove, it’s sizzling hot.
Leftover shepherds pie tonight, with salad though, as I have to think about my figure!
Bunny darlin’ salad??? at this time of year in this cold weather??? - ergh yuk!!!
Go check out the recipe thread on here. On page 6 (I think) you’ll find a recipe for Cottage pie that I put on the forum some time ago. As the resident Gormand on here, I have to maintain food intake, and salad is just not sufficient.

Joe, I always say that if I don’t watch my figure, no-one else will!
Bunny darlin’ - as you can see from my profile pictures, I’m no svelte figure. I like my food (always have).
Im making a spicy tom sauce with spag tonight feeling lazy and its a quick thing to do…
I was going to make a rice pudding but seems a waste to turn oven on just for that so maybe I’ll make a quiche tomorrow and put a pud in at the same time
I had lunch with friends today chocolate cake mmmm and ice cream
Oh what??? - Angie darlin’ - where’s my bit???![]()
