What are you having for lunch/dinner? (Part 1)

Thanks Cate, I have written that link down in my little red book for future use.

We had Sole Gougons in breadcrumbs from Aldi’s and Chips.

I cooked a chicken stir fry in chow mein sauce with egg fried rice. Too filling.

Today we are having Thin minute fry Pork Chops with Roast Pots. & Vegs.

Turkey stir fry today and I’m looking to do a dessert, not sure what yet

Today we are have leg of beef caserole and dumplings.

Funnily enough we also had a chicken and vegetable stir fry in chow mein sauce but we had ours with noodles. Today have decided not to do a roast but to make a ‘big breakfast’ sausage, bacon, black pudding, field mushrooms, hash browns, scrambled eggs, baked beans and grilled toms. Blimey looks such a lot written down, feel full just reading it back!!!

Sod it!!! too far away to call round and bring my plate, knife and fork.:lol::lol:

Yup, and you would never get up the three flights of stairs cos there ain’t no lift. What is more you would have to fight my son cos there is no way he would allow anyone access to his food.

It’s now 6pm and we have just eaten homemade Vegetable and Pasta Soup with french stick and butter.

My son bless his socks has just prepared butternut squash soup, fish in Tai sauce with a gorgeous salad followed by pumkin pie and cream. All homemade by him and all fit for a king. However, I agreed to do the washing up and he had found pots and pans that I didn’t even know I still had.

DM, as I’ve often said on here, (your flight of stairs apart) whoever steps between me and a plate of food is in serious danger of getting trampled in the rush.

I’ve 2 orange coloured squash her Cookie and lots of fish in the freezer, II’m sure I’ll have the rest of the thingywhat nots too, do you hire him out.;-):-D:-D:-D

Tonight it is Homemade Shepherd’s Pie with Vegetables.

Might have a Chicken Salad for lunch.

Susie darlin’ - see my recipe (page 7 of the recipe’s page) for ‘Special Reserve’ Cottage Pie.

Thank you Uncle Joe, just looked at your recipe, it sounds good but we don’t have Port or any other drink in the house, we don’t drink, apart from that it’s nearly the same recipe as mine.

As you are quite local I am sure he would, but I have him firmly padlocked to the jam making facilities:mrgreen: I have three children and they all cook, I am seriously thinking of opening a restaurant and I will be host and cashier dream on gal dream on:-D:-D:-D

What a bummer:-D:-D:-D

Tonight it is braised lamb shanks, creamed pots, cauliflower, carrots, runner beans. Maybe pancakes for pud. depends on whether there will be room.

mmmm Lamb Shanks, i’m coming round with my plate.

I finally got my belated ‘Burns night’ Haggis, neeps and tatties yesterday - verdict: IT was FABULOUS!!!
