What are you having for lunch/dinner? (Part 1)

Well I had a massive plate of corned beef hash (and I mean massive) which I thoroughly enjoyed.

As if that wasn’t bad enough, I then ate an entire Aunt Bessies apple pie with half a tub of thick double cream…

I think I’ll give my cardiologist a ring, make sure he’s ready for when the ambulance brings me in

you pig!!! you double pig!!! :-D:-D:-D

Well mother always taught me to eat everything on my plate, so I did…

surprised the plate didn’t go as well.:-D:-D:-D

Today is normally son’s day but they’ve all got colds so I’ staying away so for dinner, late afternoon, it’s home made Tomato and Basil soup, lamb cutlets, roast parsnips carrots and Rose (pink) onions with broccallie and a few sprouts knocking about and boiled baby red potatoes, followed by ginger sponge pud and custard. Not often I have a pudding.

Am off to make ginger, lemon and honey drink to ward off evil colds. Ooooh wonder what ginger, lemon and honey sponge pud would be like, now that could be classed as healthy couldn’t it??:-)

Put a plate in the oven for me Hazel - I’m on my way!!

Already done OB

Well today it was Frankfurters, Potato/Cheese/Onion bake & Peas.

Tonight i’m baking bread & butter pudding.

Susie darlin’ - the only thing that stops me coming to join you for a plate of that ‘pudding’ is the blizzard blowing outside my door - REALLY snowing hard here now!!!

Today we are having Haddock & Chip.

Husband at home today as he cannot get into work, it’s 5 inch of snow here.

Susie darlin’ that’s not 5" of snow, but 5" of ICE!!! - a thousand times more treacherous.

Leg of beef caserole and dumplings.

Beef stew and dumplings for us .

Just discovered a lovely recipe for Bombay Potatoes am in the process of making it and the smell is to die for. Dunno what to have them with but it sure smells good around these parts.

Hi Cate, Let’s have your recipe for Bombay Potatoes, I love them.

Sue xx

I second that!

For tea tonight here is Macaroni & Cheese, mmm!!

Just need to do a couple more chores then I can start cooking it.

I’ve already got the mixture ready for lemon drizzle cake ready to put in the oven before we sit down to tea so it’ll just come out of the oven in time for serving up as desert with some clotted cream and lemon syrup.

Glad to oblige. These are a bit of a fiddle but are well worth the time. Glad to oblige ladies, I made them the other day and ate them on their own but I bet with some dhal or if you added butternut squash it would be lovely.
