Duck, spinach, mashed cauli and a carrot for me tonight! I love duck.
Yesterday evening we had pan-fried Trout fillets with mash and minted peas - followed by bread & butter pudding and ice cream - mmmmmmmmm.
Got some friends coming for dinner today, so we’re having a full roast!
Today I had the Mother-in-Law for lunch, we had a Chicken Roast dinner with all the trimmings, and this evening I made a Chicken & Noodle soup, and a bit of french stick.
The wife and I have just finished a late tea of ham shank and vegetable soup then a beef roast with all the trimmings.
Och aye, that hit the spot.
Wasn’t her husband a bit upset.:-D:-D:-D
She was a bit grizzly Hazel!!!
Finishing off the Chicken tonight.
Gammon steak, dauphinoise (sic) potatoes, cauliflower and tinned toms tonite.
beef and veggies slow cooked in Old Peculier
Thai Chicken Curry and Savory Rice.
Waiting for wifey to come home from work so she can put on a nice beef curry.
I’ve already made the soup AND some sticky toffee pudding to have with double cream so I think I deserve to watch somebody else do one course of the meal.
Cheese & Onion Ommerlete, Chips, Big flat mushrooms & Beans.
Will make a Chicken Chasseur later today with fresh leeks, parsnips, carrots, onions in a large casserole dish.
I like Chicken Chasseur UJ, I also make it myself.
Tonight we are having Chicken Breasts with Vegs.
Have had to make change and improvise - chicken Pasanda instead.
I have just made a really comforting and warming soup I used leeks, potatoes, carrots, garlic and a large onion cooked the veg in a little butter until soft then added some soy sauce, Lancashire sauce and some gravy mix as I didn’t have any stock or stock cubes.
It really is nice could add some thai sweet chilli sauce to pep it up but it will go down a treat with some crusty rolls from Lidl.
Yes Cate darlin’ - that’s the entree, but what’s the main course and what’s for pudding???
I pack away a goodly amount of buttered rolls with my soup my greed knows no boundaries.
Later I will eat some fruit but I have become such a fat puddin that I have to lose some weight. No more excuses.
What??? - no more fry ups???, no more fish 'n chips???, no more curries??? no more chip butties???, no more sausage sarnies??? - oh cruel, cruel, world!!!![]()
