Well, I’ve made a ‘Lancashire Hot-Pot’ and Chicken legs and thighs in a mushroom, onion, plum and celery sauce.
One of them will be eaten today and t’other one we will have tomorrow.
I also made a large pan of vegetable soup for our mid-morning bowl of comfort after our daily walk.
'ere is I, a poor old widder woman sat in the cold cos me gas is turned off and am drinking cup a soup made wiv cold water and dere is you a gluttoneous, gluton. Oh woe is me cos I is undone!!! :-(
Actually they’re putting a new gas main in so gas is turned off, so have had bacon sausage toms mushrooms and chips done in electric oven but did think about cup a soup. Nice people have given me brand new electric heater but it’s not very warm, and gas off again tomorrow. Am just going to have nice fresh mango for desert and will do pumpkin soup in slow cooker for tomorrow when I have my salmon and roasted mediteranian vegs. ;-)
Today I have been left to fend for myself, shall seriously have to look for a divorce solicitor.;-)

Pork stir fry tonight.
Yesterday my son had a meeting in Cardiff so he took me with and dropped me off in town, had a wander around the shops/market and we eventually met up for dinner at Yo Sushi, always fun, delicious food especially the Miso soup, which I love and which they repeatedly fill for free. We took a friend of his who is one of these poor souls who live on their nerves and who is afraid of just about everything unfamiliar, currently he is convinced he has IBS and assorted intolerances, however he sat amazed as all these little bowls sailed past, and he eventually tried several, he too loved the Miso and the green tea (both of which are supposed to be good for you).
While in the market I bought a selection of root veggies and three small lamb shoulder steaks, which have just converted into a big pot of stew which is even now bubbling away and giving off amazing aromas. Later will add some lentils, pearl barley, and big suet dumplings. Mouth watering at the very thought.
Hi Des, you better not tell Uncle Joe you are having suet dumplings, he will round your house with his plate, ha ha ha.
We are having Fish tonight for dinner.
Just as well he has no idea where I live then innit???![]()
