What are you having for lunch/dinner? (Part 1)

Chopped a chicken breast into bite-sized chunks. Peeled and chopped an onion and chopped several chestnut mushrooms. Placed in large frying pan with a small quantity of oil, added chicken after onions and mushrooms softened. Fried off till chicken cooked through and beginning to brown. Added quantity of (Iceland) frozen oriental veg and (Iceland) Golden rice and vegetables. Poured over a jar of sweet & sour sauce and allowing to simmer for approx 40 minutes. Lunch will be ready very soon now.

Today it will be pork steak, cauli mash, peas, carrot and a few broad beans.

Will you please all stop talking about tastyful food. :frowning: It’s driving me bonkers 'cos I’ve been over-dosing on soup, custard, porridge and rice pudding, being as I’ve no top back teef to gnash with.

Me wants real grub! :lol::lol:

I’m slurping at the thought of eating a steak again, or a burger, or beans on toast - or owt really!:mrgreen:

Mollie darlin’ - see my recipe above. It contains nothing very hard and you could ‘slurp’ that without too much difficulty at all if you chopped the chicken into very small pieces.

My OH only has about five teeth on the bottom left and he eats everything apart from nuts.
No false teeth he lost them years ago and never replaced them.

Braised liver, onions and mushrooms with green beans, cauliflower and potatoes with onion gravy.

give me the postcode and with my trusty satnav I’ll be there in no time, I adore liver and onions. Lambs,ox, pigs, not had calves liver though and chicken liver as before, or curried (Chinese) or breaded. However  I’m not supposed to have it often. Grrrrrr spoilsports !!!

I’ve had mashed potato, mashed carrots and mashed mince.:lol::lol:

you’ve had a mashing time then, never mind your day will come.:-D:-D

Greens, potatoes and pie, with gravy today.
Bubble and squeak tomorrow

I only like lambs liver, I find the others a little strong. I haven’t had calves liver either but I would try it if I find it on sale. I don’t think that anyone is supposed to eat a lot of it though. Like everything else, all in moderation:-)

Lunch today was home made broccoli and Stilton soup, with a crusty brown roll, mmmm deelish.

Evening meal. Maybe poached egg on toast. I don’t feel like cooking.

Tonight we are having Piri Piri Chicken and Vegs. In the freezer I have homemade Sweet Potato Soup.

I am having a bit of venison with roasted carrots, onion and mushroom, smoked garlic and cherry gravy and mashed swede. Yummy!!!

Blimey that sounds exotic Heather, sounds nice though. Don’t mention Venison to Uncle Joe!!

Why? Does he not like it?

Oh yes Heather, he likes it alright, his after my Deers who live opposite my House, he wants to come down with his shotgun for fresh meat, ha ha.

Susie darlin’ - I ain’t joking!!! - I Loovvvve Venison, marinaded in Port, strained and tossed in flour, flash fried with an onion and several cloves of garlic and then cooked for 5 - 6 hours in my slow cooker - absolutely delicious!!!

Can’t say I blame you Uncle Joe. I love game and thoroughly enjoyed my Bambi meat tonight. Lol.

I have never eaten Venision before Uncle Joe. Does it taste like Steak? I know its Red Meat.
