What are you having for lunch/dinner? (Part 1)

we had Scampi with home made chips and peas and ice cream for pud

almost the same as you Janela

Be with you Friday lunch-time Hazel darlin’ - save me some of that bubble & Squeak!!!

Your welcome UJ, if you’re coming at lunch time do you want me to save some stew too or will fish and chips do. Know you’ll be a bit peckish when you arrive.
:lol::lol:

I had cauliflower cheese.

For lunch I am having something I haven’t had for a long time, chestnut mushrooms in a cream sauce with toast

Have a friend visiting me today because she has a problem which she has sought my advice and assistance with. As a result, we will be going to lunch shortly (my treat).

That sounds very unusual Meg, sounds nice

Have a lovely lunch with your friend Uncle Joe

I’ve had my boring old salad, followed by a yogurt.

My friend (Lisa) chose a fish 'n chip restaurant near me as her chosen place for a meal (since its Friday!!!) we both had a very delightful meal, but made big mistake, left my bus pass at home which meant I had to walk home up a very steep hill. Am now sat in my super recliner chair, totally shattered!!!

I made spinach lasagna with ricotta cheese at ClaireMarie’s tonight and we both enjoyed it. Nobody in my house will eat spinach!

I love Spinnach, have you tried putting boiling water over it in a strainer,
put it in a oven proof dish making a well in the middle , crack an egg or 2 in the centre , sprinkle with Greated cheese, cook in the middle of the oven medium heat, for about 20 mins , loverly

I had fried egg, baked beans, fish fingers and cheesy fries …to hell with the diet tonight…lol

Me neither Annie darling, ergh yuk!!!. I prefer root vegetables, Parsnips, potatoes, turnips, Celeriac, and carrots. I will eat Leeks, but am not that fond of cabbage, although Sprouts with sweet chestnuts are also delightful.

I’ve had a lump of lamb cooking in my slow cooker this afternoon, and Billie’s been standing guard over it.

I’ve just put a couple of small potatoes in the oven for roasting in lard, then I’ll have some sweetcorn, carrots, pointed cabbage and gravy to go with it.

I haven’t had a roast din-dins in ages, so I’m going to tuck into that at around 6 p.m.

Geoff, I lurv sprouts and chestnuts…I only cook them at Christmas and then through January…until someone shouts ENOUGH!
Lazy dinner today, boiled ham, stir fry and warmed baguette. I added the last pepper from the greenhouse and added a few toms to sweeten it.

I wondered what that lovely smell was Mollie. Enjoy your lamb dinner

Mmmm deeeelish! I’ve just finished and am topped up now. My, that was most tastyful.

Its our Pearl Wedding anniversary today :shock: So I cooked a melt in your mouth Sirloin steak. Baby new Potatoes covered in Butter. Roast veg- Peppers, Red Onion, Cherry Tomatoes & Courgettes. & some sauted baby Mushrooms.
Now i’m digging into a box of Chocs. Will probably pay for it when I get weighed tomorrow

Happy Anniversary, Lynn. My word, your meal sounds wonderful.
