LOL, you’re not understanding world economics. Do a little research. American companies make the machines that make everything that goes into electronics. They get sold to (some, just off the top of my head) Ireland, France. Germany. Japan, Taiwan, China and India. With out these machines these countries could not produce these electronics.
Your statement “without these machines these countries could not produce these electronics” is contradicted by the work of ASML, which is Dutch and is the largest global supplier in the market. Or maybe you want to retract the whole statement? It seems you no longer agree with your own point.

Looks like you are adding new details when originally you posted a sweeping statement which grammatically indicated only one US company was producing semiconductors for the whole planet. This has now been refined to a specific component or machine and not all.
I’ve no idea what the difference is between 1990 and 2020, but it doesn’t seem this discussion is going anywhere anyway because you haven’t answered half my questions and you’re changing your own statements so they make no sense whatsoever relative to what we started off discussing…
At the end of the day the markets think Trump is bluffing with tariffs anyway so time will tell whether there is any impact at all economically or for new USA jobs.

The US has the capability to produce anything with microchips and semi conductors. We may not have that new design in the Netherlands. But we have the capability to build everything out there.
You need to step out of the conversation if you can’t follow it and with out adding things that was not said. I can see why Biden have supporters such as yourself.

Republicans and Democrats are embroiled in a battle of extremist ideologies (ALT Life on the Left, extremist Christians on the Right), the candidates who enter the “political ring” care more for the betterment of their respective causes than the welfare of all US citizens. I might add about Trump, though, he cares little about his Christian supporters, his aim is to create a dictatorship with himself at the head (Christians are a means to an end). So, in the end it is about choice, we’ve had none since Obama left.
