Update on Pixie

Sorry about the family news; you rest and concentrate on healing!

Hi Pixie, sorry to hear about the family.
Nice to see you on here so soon but don’t overdo it…you need rest.

Sorry to hear the news about your family Ann-hope things improve for them soon. Take care of yourself as well-don’t be doing too much too soon, and hope the infection clears soon…thoughts are with you.

I’ve had another email from Ann and she’s been having chest pains again. I’ve told her to get to the ER immediately, but I haven’t heard from her since. :frowning:

Oh dear! Please keep us posted, Mollie, and thanks for the update. Fingers crossed.

I’m trying to stay awake as long as I can in the hope that I’ll hear more and, if I do, I’ll let you know as soon as I can.

This has really worried me very much indeed.

Thanks, Eileen.

So Sorry Pixie to hear of your family problems, please take care of yourself. Will take time your not long after a huge ordeal, take care little friend xx

please keep us posted Mollie, i hope all is well with Ann.

Mollie, I know that you will let us know how Pixie is, just the waiting here. I didn’t expect to hear this, all fingers crossed and hope it’s just some ‘settling in’ going on for her. Please tell her to rest, rest and rest again.

Sorry to be so late replying here. She’s fine and isn’t in as much pain now. She’s on a very strict regime and can’t get comfortable in bed as she has to lie on her back at all times. She’s a real trooper though. Made of tougher stuff than me.

Phew! Was also concerned there for a while! Thanks for the update Mollie.

Pixie, please do rest, that is very important.

Thanks for the update Mollie, was worried about her for a while.

She’s been having chest pains again. I do wish she’d go to the ER. :frowning:

Oh dear, don’t like the sound of that …

No, neither did I, but she’s just emailed me to say it’s normal as they had to break open her ribs for the operation. She’s managing to get about the house a bit more now, as per doctor’s instructions, so she’s being sensible.

So pleased to hear that Pixie is ok-got a bit worried reading the above posts! Glad to hear she’s being sensible as well. Thanks for update Mollie…

Its easy to push yourself when you get home, you think it will get you stronger sooner but it doesnt, it just makes it a longer battle. Pixie has come through this and she has to rest so she doesnt do harm to herself. Its worrying.

Just been catching up on this post. Got a bit worried about Ann at first. But seam she is a bit better. Thanks for the update Mollie. Please send my best wishes on to Ann.

Because they had to break her ribs when replacing the heart valve she has to use a cushion in front of her when sitting down or standing up to ease the pain.

I busted a couple of ribs myself a few years ago and that was really painful, but they’d have had to break ribs on boths sides of her body (I think) to carry out the procedure, so it’s no wonder she’s been getting pains in her chest.

She’s a strong lass though and I’m sure she’ll be better again soon.

Ouch. That sounds really painful. I know the ribs take ages to heal.
