Two Camera Bags - how to tell apart?

Earlier in the year I bought what Amazon described as an Amazon Basics Camera case, I thought the price was pretty good value for money (just over the equivalent of £12)

It was perfect for my compact camera, my camcorder plus accessories, chargers etc

Since then I have bought a new drone, it came with its own case, however I find it very difficult to fit everything into the case provided so decided to order another camera case. As it happens Amazon has relabelled it as a Messenger bag even though it is still exactly the same bag.

The problem with having two identical camera bags is how to tell them apart without looking inside. The second one hasn’t arrived yet so I have time to think about a solution.

Do I spray paint one? spray paint a stencil on the top?

How can I easily tell them apart without wrecking them or making them too visible say in the footwell of my car?

Ideas please.

Couldn’t you simply tie a piece of fabric around the handle of one of them Bruce?
A little bit like the way people do with their luggage when flying.

And yes, those basics camera bags are very decent although this is a smaller model.

That was going to be my suggestion, a ribbon or self adhesive sticker, or even nail polish. It only has to be a small indicator so that only you know it’s there

Thanks for your suggestions.

My travel luggage stands out on the carousel when flying, it is bright bronze coloured soft fabric case and I am usually the only person that checks in a carry on size suitcase so I have never thought about identifying similar bags/luggage before.

I think I might just spray a dab of colour on the top carry handle of one bag and see how that goes.

BTW the bag arrived this morning I only ordered it Monday evening, that’s not bad is it?

In the event it was such a simple fix.

Can you spot the difference?

Instead of any additions you removed something - smart!

Yep, only sewed on so it was easy to do. I am quite pleased with myself :icon_wink:

Very late edit:

Should that be sewn or sewed?

Ah, but can you remember which is which!
Very ingenious fix though

You have spotted an obvious flaw but I took the label off the newest one on the theory that I was used to the older one having the label.

Despite the look in the photo the older one (with the label) is actually showing some signs of use, I have had it about 6 months and it has been thrown about a bit in the back of the car.

I think I will remember which is which but it is early days yet.
