Trump - The Long Goodbye

Hardly a word from Trump since his presidential election defeat but he took some time today to “broadcast” to his supporters:

Trump repeats fraud claims then goes to golf club

President Trump has sent another flurry of tweets. He again sought to sow doubt about the integrity of the election, reiterating unsubstantiated allegations of widespread voter fraud and a “stolen election”.

In tweets that appeared to quote former House Speaker Newt Gingrich, Trump wrote that “we should look at these allegations” of “voter fraud”.

Trump is mounting legal challenges against election results in some states, but is yet to produce any credible evidence of large-scale voter fraud.

For now, though, Trump appears to have taken a break from Twitter to go to his golf club in Sterling, Virginia, for a second day in a row. He was pictured hitting the fairway there on Saturday.

Inevitably, sooner rather than later though, Trump will return to the political arena to spew forth unfounded accusations and deliberate lies in order to “stir up” his red-necked mugs and chumps … :!:

I could almost feel sorry for him but such are his myriad crimes against everything, I’ll resist the urge and just relish the schadenfreude.

Crimes?

Trump escapes to the golf course again after tweeting that the election was ‘stolen’, as Don Trump Jr. and Eric Trump demand ‘manual recount’ and Melania Trump calls for ‘complete transparency’ amid sign of family split after Jared Kushner tells Donald Trump it’s time to quit

Trump’s eldest sons launched a fusillade of morning tweets claiming their father’s defeat was fraudulent Sunday, in a sign of a split from their brother-in-law Jared Kushner.

Don Jr. and Eric both retweeted claims from Republican operatives that included the late boxer Joe Frazier voting in Philadelphia and that counting software was rigged against Republicans.

Eric called for a ‘manual recount’ of all ballots - which would amount to as many as 150 million - because one county in Georgia said three days ago that it was briefly delaying counting due to a software glitch.

‘Software from hell! There needs to be a manual recount of every ballot in this country right now!’ he said.

And Don Jr. retweeted an anti-concession demand accusing Michigan, Wisconsin and Pennsylvania of ‘rampant fraud.’

It was unclear early Sunday whether either son has spoken to their father since his defeat was called by networks just before midday Saturday.

But it was revealed late Saturday night that their brother-in-law Jared has been urging Trump to come to terms with defeat and offer a concession.

Cannot bear the thought of a defeated president ignominiously being evicted from the white house. The ultimate humiliation for him and America. :frowning:

I think American’s did not vote Biden in, they voted Trump out.

Expect Trump to engage in a ‘scorched earth’ policy. He will do all within his power to make his supporters believe that the election has been stolen, and, in doing so, cast doubt about the legitimacy of the election.

Numerous high ranking Republican politicians have publicly stated that Trump should take his beating like a true president, and let democracy reign supreme.

What if he’s right though.

Personally I think he should bow out in a dignified way and admit to defeat but that’s not who he is.

Can you imagine if his suspicions were proved to be true…wow, that’d make a great movie

If he was right, Trumpy’s lawyers would have fallen over themselves to present any and all credible evidence that they could scrape together that would back his case. They were unable to present ANY such evidence and their cases are being thrown out.

No, Tachy, I don’t suppose for a minute he was right.

:017:

In every presidential election within my memory, there have been isolated cases of ‘the dead’ voting. It should not be too hard for Trump to find some small evidence of this. I’m not exactly sure how this happens but I suspect that, here and there, someone gets ahold of a recently dead person’s ID and uses them to vote, and then he/she goes to their proper voter site and votes again using their real ID.

However, for the courts to pay any attention to this would, naturally, require massive evidence.

I believe we are going to see a very, very nasty side to Trump over the next few weeks.

It even said in my paper today that his wife has been waiting for him to lose, and leave the white house, so that she can leave him, too. :102:

Apparently she has been seen twice in public recently, pulling her hand away from his, so I guess that’s enough for reporters to get their notebooks out.

They aren’t suspicions but his strategy all along. He encouraged his own voters to avoid postal voting. He talked about all this before the election. It’s dirty politics basically. Wouldn’t give him an international mandate if he carries on down this road.

Presumably they could also find dead people who voted for him four years ago.

Yes, that’s true Annie.
Funny how the votes were all true and genuine when he was voted IN though.

Check out post #2 on this thread.

Well that’s what I said on another thread. They may as well start going back to when he was elected if they are going to check the integrity of the system.

What I think they will find is that legally the election was as legal as any other. They will waste loads of time and money checking everything. Then find it is all legit.

I think you are right. Going by the amount of people who voted this time.

Indeed … he’ll be a twice-dumped lame duck:

Melania Trump ‘counting minutes until divorce’ after 15-year ‘transactional marriage’

Melania is said to have burst into tears when her husband triumphed in 2016, with one friend saying: “She never expected him to win”.

She also waited five months before moving from New York to Washington, allegedly because the couple’s son Barron “needed to finish school”.

But former aide Stephanie Wolkoff has now claimed Melania was negotiating a post-nuptial agreement to give Barron an equal share of Trump’s fortune, reports the MailOnline.

Wolkoff also claims Trump and Melania had separate bedrooms during their time in the White House and said their marriage was “transactional”.

In his marriage to second wife Marla Maples, Trump’s pre-nup agreement prevents her from publishing any book or giving interviews critical of him - with lawyer Christina Previte saying it’s likely Melania had agreed to something similar.

Trump will, naturally, claim the divorce settlement as a non-taxable “loss” … :069:
