Trump & Covid

His hands are hard to imitate

:lol::lol::lol: That’s good. :mrgreen:

Mad Captain Rum says “He has a woman’s hand! I’ll wager these dainty pinkies never weighed anchor in a storm.”

Hi

The White House alone now has more cases than Taiwan and New Zealand combined.

White House reporters react: ‘Kayleigh McEnany endangered lives’

https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/live/world-54382914

White House journalists are reacting with outrage to hear that Trump’s press secretary - who has been regularly removing her mask to speak to journalists at the White House even after her boss’s positive diagnosis - has just tested positive.

“Kayleigh McEnany has repeatedly spoken to reporters without a mask on. She has recklessly endangered lives,” tweeted New York Magazine correspondent Olivia Nuzzi.

Many reporters are pointing out that just yesterday McEnany held an outdoor briefing for reporters at the White House, where she again did not wear a mask

These people of GOP have no comprehension of the common good - they are only interested in self-aggrandisement …

They even infect their own:

White House junior-level staff ‘also tested positive’

According to US media, McEnany’s cousin-in-law is among the more junior staff members of the White House to have their tests come back positive in recent days.

Chad Gilmartin, who is cousins with McEnany’s husband, works as the White House principal assistant press secretary. According to ABC News, he tested positive over the weekend - the day before McEnany did.

Bloomberg reporter Jennifer Jacobs says assistant press secretary Karoline Leavitt is also among those that have tested positive.

It’s important to note that the White House has not said how many staff total members have now tested positive.

There are 377 staff members at the White House … :!:

I have just read that, since Trump’s alleged “diagnosis”, 2,000 other Americans have died from COVID-19, bringing the US death toll to 210,000 … :!:

News says Trump will leave hospital today 11.30pm our time. Call me a cynic and a sceptic, but I find it hard to believe that all this is not con trick by this crook. Time will tell, I suppose and if I am far wrong I will apologise.

All the luck in the world to them both, just as I would say about any other people .
Smilw

You and me both … there’s something real sleazy and underhand about the guy, not unlike a secondhand car sales conman.
Give me an honestly dishonest incompetent British politician any day.

Mind, I had to laugh when his medical team came out to give that TV interview … not one white coated personal physician , not two, nor 3, but 9 … who just kept coming out the door like white bunnies popping out of a hat.

Yes …it is sooooooo staged

What did Trump’s doctors say?

Navy Cdr Sean Conley, the White House physician, said Mr Trump “may not entirely be out of the woods yet”, but that the medical team agreed the president’s status and progress “support his safe return home, where he’ll be surrounded by world-class medical care 24/7”.

He refused to answer questions about when Mr Trump last received a negative test or to go into the specifics of his treatment. He would not offer details regarding the president’s scans to check for pneumonia, citing patient protection laws.

Dr Conley did confirm Mr Trump is still on the steroid dexamethasone and has received three doses of remdesivir. He will receive another before discharge and a fifth at the White House.

When asked about whether Mr Trump was safe to travel for campaign events, Dr Conley said: “We’ll see.”

The White House is currently a hotbed of infection - will Trump add to that infectious environment, succumb to it or seal himself off from it … :?:

His “campaigning” intentions prove that, despite his claims, he has learned nothing about COVID-19 so “sealing himself off” will not be an option that he will consider …

The latest coronavirus case to emerge from the White House Rose Garden gathering, at which the president unveiled his nominee for the US Supreme Court, is a Christian minister.

Pastor Greg Laurie was also with US Vice-President Mike Pence at a prayer march in central Washington DC.

Trump says ‘Maybe I’m immune’ as he leaves hospital after three nights of COVID treatment

Shortly after his return, the US president released a video of himself speaking on a balcony flanked by US flags. Trump told Americans:

“We’re going back to work, we’re going to be out front. As your leader I had to do that. I knew there’s danger to it but I had to do it. I stood out front. I led. Nobody that’s a leader would not do what I did. I know there is a risk, there is a danger, but that’s ok. Now I’m better and maybe I’m immune, I don’t know.”

Mussolini is reincarnated …

Trump not out of the woods yet

https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/live/world-54430926

It’s not clear when Mr Trump caught the virus or first started to feel unwell. Most people who develop symptoms do so on around day five. Some people have only mild symptoms that clear up after a week or so with some bed rest.

A turning point can be at around day seven, with some patients getting a more serious lung infection from the virus. These patients need to be in hospital because they can deteriorate quickly and need expert care. The body can go into overdrive fighting the virus, leading to respiratory failure, septic shock and multiple organ damage.

Trump’s doctors say they remain cautiously optimistic about the president’s health but “on guard” for at least the coming week should things take a turn for the worse.

Since we do not know when Trump became infected or was first tested as positive we can only speculate about “day numbers” but the doctors must know … :expressionless:

Although no two cases will be the same, it’s informative to recall Boris Johnson’s coronavirus timeline:

– March 27 Mr Johnson reveals he has tested positive for Covid-19
– April 2 The PM comes out of self-isolation for a brief appearance at the door of No 11 Downing Street
– April 5 Downing Street says Mr Johnson has been admitted to a London NHS hospital for tests as a “precautionary step”
– April 6 Mr Johnson went into hospital for some routine tests but , on the advice of his medical team, he was moved to St Thomas’ Hospital’s intensive care unit.
– April 7 The PM’s condition remains “stable”
– April 8 The Prime Minister was said to be “responding to treatment” after a second night in intensive care.
– April 9 After spending a “good night” in intensive care, Downing Street says the Prime Minister’s condition “continues to improve”.
– April 10 The Prime Minister continues to recover in hospital
– April 11 Downing Street says the PM “continues to make very good progress.”
– April 12 Mr Johnson is discharged from hospital and will continue his recovery at Chequers
– April 20 The Prime Minister’s official spokesman says that Mr Johnson is not working.
– April 21 In a phone call with US President Donald Trump from his Chequers country retreat, Mr Johnson says he is “feeling better”.
– April 23 Mr Johnson holds a telephone audience with the Queen from Chequers, in his first conversation with the monarch in three weeks.
– April 26 The Prime Minister returns to Downing Street after recovering from Covid-19 at his country home Chequers.

However, AFAIK, BJ’s treatment never never involved a cocktail of drugs (some experimental) … :!:

GP’s Opinion: “He is clearly in some distress with his breathing”

BBC One - Breakfast, "He is clearly in some distress with his breathing" (video - from about 00:30 and onwards)

I found myself struggling with him ……

He’s acting like he has conquered the virus so easily, but like I said before, he got immediate and preferential treatment from the top doctors, plus he is still on drugs and steroids now, according to the news.
I wonder how he’d be faring if he wasn’t having top class treatment.
It is irresponsible and reckless to tell others not to be afraid of this virus.

Indeed … :023:

I’d be putting him back in hospit if I was his wife, fancy telling folks its nothing to be fearful of.

Trump Covid post deleted by Facebook and hidden by Twitter

Facebook has deleted a post in which President Trump had claimed Covid-19 was “less lethal” than the flu. Twitter hid the same message behind a warning about “spreading misleading and potentially harmful information”.

He wrote the US had “learned to live with” flu season, “just like we are learning to live with Covid*, in most populations far less lethal!!!”

An exact mortality rate for Covid-19 is not known, but it is thought to be substantially higher - possible 10 times or more - than most flu strains, according to Johns Hopkins University.

This is the second time that Facebook has deleted a post from the president. Twitter has intervened more often with deletions and warnings.

  • 210,000 people in the USA and over 1,000,000 worldwide have failed “to live with Covid” … :!:

The man is an absolute moron …
