What breed is Ollie?
She has a different tin everyday always been a fussy eater , two tins one in morning one at night , so I get
Collards ,
Duck with Blueberries, Courgette and pumpkin in a herb Gravy ,
Turkey with Cranberries Carrot & Broccoli in herb Gravy
Chicken, with sweet potato, mixed peppers in gravy .
Chappie /fish and Rice
Butchers
and when i have fish i do her one as well so tonight for a treat it will be Sea bass
she also loves a Raw Carrot…
Then there’s a another tin called call of the wild ,which comes with Salmon and other foods but that is a bit on the expensive side .
I will have to check out Collards. Have not heard of them previously. The recipes are even making me hungry! She looks very well for it.
Our dogs have been on Collards for years and I can thoroughly recommend it. We use the flat pack containers rather than the tins though, and it works out at 50p per dog per day for our cockerpoos…
It’s nice to see Ellie having fun, our first Goldie liked to chew boxes but started to eat them and brought it back up, so didn’t let him do it again.
Love that look in the 3rd picture … 'Don’t you even think of stopping me!"
She’s having a right old good time isn’t she!
My Ollie boy is a Great Pyrenees. But he’s a badly bred one.
He came from a goat farm - Pyrs are a well-known guardian breed.
The owner of the farm died suddenly leaving 7 adult dogs, and two litters of pups (total of 17 pups!), of which Ollie was one. At the time of the owner’s death, the pups were 2-3 weeks old.
The family of the owner tried selling the pups, (I think they thought they were about to make quite a few thousand dollars!), but they’re very common here, and they were so obviously interbred. They finally gave up and put them all into rescue. (The adults were taken in by neighbouring farms.)
Sadly, only a handful got homes.
I had stopped fostering, but I was contacted and asked if I could take in at least one of the pups until they got things sorted.
I did…and of course fell in love with the little booger.
He’s my “goat dog”, and he’s a big huggy bear!
He was about 16 weeks old when we got him.
Thanks for asking!
I hope she knows where to find the dustpan and brush when she has had her fun!
He’s so lovely and looks to have a great playful personality with plenty of energy
Thank you! I think he’s pretty lovely also!
And he definitely has loads of energy!
Just wish he’d share some of it!
What a lovely gentle giant with the pups!
Mups will love this, Barry! It is so lovely.
That’s so lovely, thank you for posting it Barry.
Here is my favourite pic of my boy Kodi who went to doggy heaven
And here is my boy Loki yesterday 6 months old
He’s looks an endearing little chap, Queenie. Six months seems to have flown by.
He has got loads of coat, do you have to clip him? Does he moult much?
Looks like he js enjoying one of those Yakka dog chews?
They are quite expensive, but my Gertie loves 'em, and they last for ages dont they.
he really is endearing, he is just so lovely, my husband is besotted with him. He walked past me in the living room the other day, looked at the dog and said ‘I LOVE THAT DOG’ awwww. He spoils him too, talks to him like a baby, it’s quite comical listening to how he talks to him really and also endearing at the same time.
He loves those chews and yes they last ages, keeps him busy for a good while.
We have this thing between us, I will put my blanket over me when I sit on the sofa, and when I got to put my recliner up Loki will sit at the bottom of my legs and I hitch him up as the recliner is going up, so funny, he’s got it off to a tee, when he sees the blanket coming out that’s his cue awwwwwww bless he’s just simply adorable.
I miss Kodi so much and I still shed a tear as I miss him but Loki has certainly helped in our grief.
My husband said when Kodi passed, ‘no more dogs’ I twisted his arm and now he is just so glad I did
Love our dogs so much don’t we, a dog enriches our life with it’s faithfulness and love.
So do cats - but don’t tell mine I said that!
