Lost the remote for the stereo unit - guess who found it - look at that face - he is daring me to take it - isn’t he? Think I will do something else instead.

Jeez! Are you sure she is actually a domesticated cat, Tabby? That looks positively brutal :scream:

She can be a bit of a grumpy cat - she had an unpleasent life before I adopted her - and she really does not like taking medicines. I have to wrap her up in a towel - like an Egyptian Mummy but, clearly, it was not secure today. Couldn’t stop the bleeding as one of those bites was into a vein so went to A&E - two sutures, a whole load of steristrips, a tetnus jab and a dose of antibiotics later - I came home in search of tea!

But, at least, she had her meds before she broke loose so will be in less pain than me at the moment. Poor Puss.

That is one wild cat you have there. Mind you I remember my impeccably mannered cat Justin becoming the Mr Hyde of the cat world when being taken to the vet.

Awww, poor baby! But good grief, that’s some damage - glad you managed to get yourself sorted out with medicines. :hugs:

George gets annoyed if you try give him medicine but he escapes and hides he isn’t violent…I think if I had a cat who was so averse to the medication I would stop trying to give it…it must be very stressful for both you and him…I would stop.

You cannot stop giving medication to an animal you just need to find a way of giving it that causes no harm to both animal and human. The towel method is effective if done perfectly get it wrong and you will learn a painful lesson.

Willow doesn’t like taking medicine - but she is not normally so aggressive - just growls a bit. I can only think I must have have hurt her somehow when I picked her up. Cannot stop giving her the pills because she needs them for the pain - she has arthritis in her back legs - poor old puss. Have asked the vat again about a liquid alternative - a syringe would be so much easier.

Very true. It worked OK this morning.

Lesson learned @SilverTabby make sure the towel is on perfectly, I hope your injuries heal quickly.:smiley:

Wow, that is nasty. I used to have a cat who would attack like that if you annoyed her. Ironically she was called Little Puss!

I don’t know if this link will work on here but it’s about a cat who has been trained to do tricks and he and his owner just love each other so much :two_hearts:

ST, our last cat Billy was the same as yours, he was very vicious towards humans but not other animals, and looks exactly like yours, we bought him from a Pet shop when he was just 7 weeks old, and they never told us he was a wild feral cat, we found that out when he got to 6 months old, but although he was vicious and would not let any one stroke him, he was very loyal to us and I know he did love us and we loved him.

Willow is not normally vicious - it must have been my fault. Anyway - we are friends again today. The hand is very swollen and painful - can’t do much - excellent excuse for flolloping about on the sofa with a stack of Martin Shaw DVDs!

Poor you Tabbs .
She’s given you a proper mauling l
Cats are difficult for medication the towel method is good if as you say you can keep it tight enough .
Pushing the pill down with a pencil is something a vet told me is a good way to get them to take it.
I agree a liquid would be easier .
