This type of dog is a killing machine regardless any training they may receive they remain a killing machine that can turn at any moment.
The Bully and other similar breeds seem to attract owners ummm who aren’t the brightest .
I just came across the same story on bbc:
24 ewes killed by two XL American Bulldogs and 46 ewes injured …
Utter carnage …
All such dogs should be exterminated immediately and the breed banned …
On the news this week an 11yr old girl bitten by this dog , two men fought it off . All three hurt , the child is badly bitten and been or in hospital. Now it’s time for the government to step up and ban these animals . Whether a good owner or bad owner let’s stop it now .
Only a face a mother could love .
A bully isn’t imo a pet .
Why would anyone one want a bully when there are so many lovely pet type breeds to choose from .
I a dog lover am seriously considering the none breeding of any dog .
We don’t need any more dogs being bred by greedy breeders or imported from Romania .
The dogs homes are full of unwanted animals
Hi
Suella Braverman is playing silly idiots by saying is demanding an urgent review into the BullyXL.
The Goernment have decided only weeks ago not to ban it.
It is however banned in some other countries
Not helped by the useless pronouncements by the RSPCA who seem to have no idea
I agree - it’s the owners, not the dogs. I have commented on that before. I have spoken about the Pit Bulls. Another tail. We meet with a dogs here and almost they are pleasant for the most part Except one that is a bit viscous. Worse than a Pit Bull. By contrast we meet a St Bernard’s, a big gentle fellow.
It’s not just the owners though .
The same owner wouldn’t do much too much damage with a chihuahua or a Jack russell .
Pit bulls have a huge head and jaw and while they can be loyal and loving dogs they do have instinctive fighting instincts ,
I note your opinion.
They can’t help what they are a dog bred for it’s ferocity and killing instinct .
As a greyhound is bred to run and a collie is bred to herd .
How many Pit Bulls have you physically experienced?
Quote a few .
I lived for over a decade in the Caribbean ,
In Barbados , Belize and Dominica .
In all these countries I volunteered with the animal humane societies …
There were plenty of pit bulls in these countries .
People like them for two reasons .
Intimidation ( crime is rife ) and dog fighting .
Barbados is one of the worst people think it’s this wonderful holiday island but it has a very dark side . Dog fighting is against the law but carries on illegally.
I also used to take a poor dog out that had a dreadful life chained up .
He was a pit bull .
He loved me and was very protective and obedient to me but I doubt I could have held him off if he had chosen to be otherwise .
Because of his awful life he did not have the muscular structure of these specimens they are breeding now .His owner did not have him for fighting just to have chained up outside his house .
Poor Jonnny I loved that dog
So it was primarily the owners…
Besoeker chihuahua are horrible snappy little dogs that often bite ( maybe it’s the owners fault too the difference is they don’t kill you or anyone else )
If cats were big enough they would eat us it’s their nature .
That why it’s unwise to have a lion as a house pet or walking around the neighbourhood .
Bart the bear who made lots of films lived with his family and never harmed anyone but still you just wouldn’t go and pet him .
Because bears, lions and big muscular dogs have the potential and the inherent nature to kill things .
But as you say it’s my opinion .
There are pleanty of dog breeds we don’t need this Frankenstein monster of a dog .
And we don’t need the humans to behave themselves with their bad dogs. Anyway, I miss my Collie but we have our new wee dog - very attached to her mum…
She’s lovely
Good …
Pity he wasn’t a little more proactive earlier.
Although that would involve having a spine.
