Tea or Coffee - what do you prefer?

I’m sure youll find it everywhere.
Tick Tock is a commonly available brand, but Twynings do one - everyone does!
I’ll be interested to see what you think

Strong tea with a tiny bit of milk, and the odd cup of coffee
but the proper stuff, with a dash of single cream, oh and a tot of brandy is most welcome in either

I’ve started to buy this now DM, I find it quite acceptable and am beginning to enjoy it in place of ‘ordinary’ tea.

f

Kitty darlin’ - strong coffee (without milk or cream) but with an added tot of Brandy first thing in the morning (circa 06.00) is good and sets me up for the day, notwithstanding I’m officially not allowed alcohol at all because of the medication I have to take.

Well I prefer whisky uncleJoe, and I am having a treat for Christmas, a bottle of Black Label whiskey, never had it before, my usual tipple is Grouse or Jamesons.

Annie darlin’ - try a ‘drop’ from t’other side of the Irish Sea - ‘Old Bushmills’.

Or even Black Bush!

Hot strong tea for me everytime, little milk and three (yes three) sugars.

Anyone tried white tea? The variety, not tea with milk …

No I haven’t, Eileen …only black and green and herbals.

No I’ve never heard of it

What’s Black Bush please Mollie ?

White tea - From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

White Bai Hao Yinzhen tea leaves.

White tea (Chinese: 白茶; pinyin: báichá) is a lightly oxidized[1] tea grown and harvested almost exclusively in China, primarily in the Fujian province.[2]

White tea comes from the delicate buds and younger leaves of the Chinese Camellia sinensis plant. These buds and leaves are allowed to wither in natural sunlight before they are lightly processed to prevent oxidation or further tea processing. This preserves the characteristic flavour of the white tea.

The name “white tea” derives from the fine silvery-white hairs on the unopened buds of the tea plant, which gives the plant a whitish appearance.[3]

I wasn’t really very impressed; seemed to me like green tea that hadn’t been steeped long enough …

I’ve never heard of white tea. My mother-in-law (a Yorkshire woman) used to drink her tea black - no milk. Yuuuukk!

Uncle Joe mentioned Bush Mills, which is an Irish whiskey, but Black Bush is from the same distillery, but more expensive.

The only way to drink it to me, Mollie… both black and green.

thanks for that dandysmom, i like green tea with lemon, on its own i find it a bit on the bitter side.

I like to give things a go, so might try this if i come across it

My son drinks both tea and coffee, black, no sugar.

I drink my tea and coffee black - no milk or sugar.

thanks Mollie, i thought it might be a brand of tea

Last week OH picked up a box of Twinings Clearly Refreshing selection, which included Amber Keemun, Golden Oolong and White Tea…they were all yuk! Threw them away!
