If gay couples want to dance together fine by me but SCD has a format and its one that works just fine.

I agree Patsy. I have nothing whatsoever against gays being on strictly, but as Cass said, it would alter a good format too much to have same sex couples dancing together. It would spoilt it completely for me. (and if that isn’t ‘pc’ - tough).

Episode one of the new series of Strictly Come Dancing will be on BBC One at 9pm tonight and will see six of this year’s contestants take to the dance floor. Episode 2 will be shown on BBC One at 6.15pm tomorrow (Saturday 26), and will see the nine remaining celebrities show off their moves. There will be no public vote or elimination this weekend. 
Body shape is crucial a male female couple complement each other, same sex couples look awkward and clumsy.
I enjoyed tonight’s show, looks like there are some promising dancers among the first six celebrities. 
I’d like to know what has happened with Craig since last year, he excelled himself with the amount of praise and points he gave the couples
I think Craig tends to be nice for the opening shows … watch out for the true Craig to emerge :twisted:

Yes Mups, I agree Darcy looked lovely and her hair style really suited her. She’s settled into the judging panel very well too.

Strictly manages to keep the same panel of judges (mostly), makes me wonder why X-factor keeps messing about changing them all the time.
The standard was generally very good…

I enjoyed tonights Strictly. I see Craig is getting in his stride already.
At the moment, I think the young lass who was in Corrie was really good, as was Peter Andre, too.
It was a great show - my idea of entertainment - fab !
I am thoroughly enjoying this series as I have always done over the years. Not too many comments from our butch men on here I notice.
A few plodders last night but on the whole this group seem really good.
Poor Anton must be in shock though, he finally has someone who seems able to understand the concept of dance!
I’ve made a list of the “rubbish” celebrities 
it’ll be interesting to see if they improve with more training :shock:

I recorded the programme and watched it later, am glad I did as the first 10 mins was taken up with waffle.
I don’t like Ainsley so was able to fast forward through his performance too
