Ooo - you are awful Cass …but I like you :-p
I don’t follow Strictly on a strict basis (see what I did there?) but do watch if it I get a chance to sit down when it is aired. Therefore I watched it last week and will be watching it again tonight. Seems quite good, I liked the weather-woman Carol Kirkwood although I immediately knew that she would be “the one” who was at the bottom of the score board. There always seems to be one person who is far below everybody else. I’m not saying it is deliberate, but definitely a recurring theme.
Ah yes - there’s always one …:-p
I just love it…
Maybe its a bit unusual for a big tough bloke but I love it too. I’ve watched it every year since the first series. I never miss BBC 2s It Takes Two either.
Love Ainsley - kept that dance too :-p
I want to adopt Jay and wish Claudia was my sister
I think Claudia’s great and Jay was fantastic last night … he seemed so shy and overwhelmed when he’d done the dance … so sweet

True - and he’s won me heart - lovely boy
I felt sorry for Anita who I think had a low score from Len because of the choreography which had a lot of lifts/tricks leaving less time for dance content. A bit harsh I thought after her good performance.
It was not her fault, she does not design the choreography.
I do not like the little ‘playletts’ they all have at the beginning of the dances these days. Cut the faffing about and get on with the dancing says this grumpy old women
Think the right one went out tonight.Don’t think the singers with the orchestra are so good this year-or is it just me?!
rhosyn …OH is tone deaf yet last night he turned to me and said ‘is there something wrong with that music’?
Its definetly a bit off…
The right person went…
My only criticism is the incessant and irritating clapping and whooping every time someone is lifted up or starts the actual dance. SHADDUP!!! And yes, I do know the audience is whipped up into a froth of hysteria but it drives me nuts.
I agree Eccles. For that, and the idiotic little bits that Meg mentioned, we aren’t watching it this year. We couldn’t even tell you who the contestants are.
Ever since James Jordon, was dropped a few series ago, he has always had an issue with the BBC. I see reported in the papers today that he thought his wife Ola and Iwan, had been unfairly treated, Well as a bloke I admit that Ola is good on the eye,but in my opinion Iwan was the worst of the dancers, so James should just accept it.
Arthur
You’re right arthur, I have seen James griping about things as well. He was in the paper before it even started saying Iwan was childish and persistently leaping about and not listening to anyone.
I think the right one went last night, it wasn’t Ola’s fault. I must admit I didn’t take to Iwan at all.
Weather girl Carol isn’t very good yet, but she seems such a lovely lady, with the warmest of smiles, I hope she improves or she will be sent off next.
The right one left - see what I did there …:-p
Once again, I thought Strictly was very good tonight.
What’s the young lad’s name that had the scruffy hair and pony tail at the beginning, but it’s all cut short now? He was sooooooo good tonight, he seems a natural.
What a brilliant opening to Strictly tonight! I love the Movie themed programmes … excellent dancing by the professionals too.
The young lad was Jay McGuinness, Mups He looks so shy and nervous but boy, can he dance! :-D. He thoroughly deserved his 10 points tonight, I thought he danced as good as the pros.
Yep Mags - Hooray for Hollywood - Fab-u-lous !
And Jay - he stood out from the start and has captured my little heart
He is a winner for me - Rani shows promise too
Once again this year I’m hooked on Strictly. Last week I thought there were several potential winners but after last nights showing I think Jay is far and away the best. But of course there’s a long way to go yet.
