Strictly Come Dancing 2013 line-up

Tonight’s line-up will be:

Abbey and Aljaz – Kissing You by Des’ree (waltz)

Ben and Kristina – Love Me Again by John Newman (cha cha)

Dave and Karen – Moves Like Jagger by Maroon 5 (cha cha)

Deborah and Robin – Money Money Money by Abba (tango)

Fiona and Anton – A View To A Kill by Duran Duran (tango)

Julien and Janette – Vogue by Madonna (cha cha)

Patrick and Anya – Runaway Baby by Bruno Mars (jive)

Rachel and Pasha
– When I Need You, Luther Vandross version (waltz)

Vanessa and James
– That Don’t Impress Me Much by Shania Twain (cha cha)

It will be nice to see Anton strutting his stuff with a decent partner for a change.

Artem is definitely ‘not’ gay :-p
So I guess you’re OK EZ and in good company …

Agree Pats CG, he wants a good slap round his smug chops!

Looks quite heavy on the Cha Cha tonight then 4 of them, lots more than any other dance

Thats unusual …
Usually have a good mix …

Okay - week one over and done with, what are your memorable moments this week, what’s your favourite, your worst and what was the funniest?

I loved Abbey Clancey’s Waltz, so beautiful so I’m looking forward to what else her professional (can’t remember his name) dancer can come up with.

Two funnies for me:

I snorted a laugh at Dave the Hairy Biker’s dance and then laughed out loud - brilliant stuff

Second laugh came from James Jordan’s choice of music - Shania Twain’s ‘That Don’t Impress Me Much’ - one of my favourite songs (bit of a fan of Shania Twain) - and which verse he chose to have sung; now, I wonder why he didn’t go for this verse of the song:

I never knew a guy who carried a mirror in his pocket
And a comb up his sleeve - just in case,
And all that extra hold gel in your hair oughta lock it
'Cause Heaven forbid it should fall outta place

Oh-oo-oh, you think you’re special
Oh-oo-oh, you think you’re something else

Okay, so you’re Brad Pitt
That don’t impress me much
So you got the looks but have you got the touch
Don’t get me wrong, yeah I think you’re alright
But that won’t keep me warm in the middle of the night
That don’t impress me much

Hmm, wonder why he didn’t choose that verse

Looking forward to next week now, saturday 6.20pm early start.

Felt judging was a bit wonky on tonight’s programme in places.

I liked the hairy biker too BV, he looked like he was really enjoying himself and it showed.
I wish Craig R.H. wouldn’t be so rude and unpleasant, there is no need for it.
What’s his name in the ‘Dancing on Ice’ judging, who is equally obnoxious, the bloke with the big white teeth who’s just had a hair transplant? Jason Gardiner? I remember one of the ladies skating in a brown tunic and he said she reminded him of “faeces going down the loo”. I mean, how disgusting can they get? They should never be allowed to humiliate people like that.
On a more positive note, we all like Artem, but I also like Pasha for his gentle ways, and Robin, and Anton . . . . .

Pleased you mentioned Pasha Mups - he’s me next favourite …
Dave ! Well he did surprise me, thought he was great …
Debra Meadon disappointed a bit, really think the pressure got to her though … ‘Julian’ - the designer …Eeeoooow - he’s gotta go !
It really looks promising to be a great show this year …

I’d never heard of him before but I have to be honest - there’s something a bit off about him, all that shouting as well.

I agree with you Mups - Craig can often go too far and if everything out of his mouth is negative (which it nearly always is), its very off-putting. I quite like panto villains but he is taking it past the limit.

Julian wasn’t as good as I expected him to be, seen him on daytime TV.

Debra was one the dancers, I thought the dance was too fast for her in places.

I agree Valice - it was a bit too detailed for week one given she has no dance experience at all and being, ahem, a bit older it takes a bit more time for stuff to stay put in the old memory! She also looked seriously nervous and that wouldn’t have helped. I like Debra so I hope she isn’t out just yet.

Don’t think she’ll be first out, that might go to someone like Tony Jacklin or Vanessa

.… ‘Julian’ - the designer …Eeeoooow - he’s gotta go !

Yup - agree with that Pats CG. he was just a silly show-off and way too much of an exhibitionist for me. He’s silly because I don’t think the public will ever take to him if he carries on like that, I thought even his partner looked embarrassed when he kept shouting.

Yes BV, absolutely agree with your comments, and I like her too.

Or Julian . . .

I am finding it all a bit tedious now particularly the silly comments and poor jokes from Bruce. May give it a miss until there are a few less contestants.

Give it a miss !! Very un:cool:
Bruce is a fantastic compare - true enough not as good now as he was, but forgiven, due to his age, for me anyway …
Really think its sad - he gets such negative comments, we could be stuck with a real humdinger …
I wouldn’t want Brucie to tea but, I like his banter …
Think this will be his last year tho’ :frowning:

Pats  I am not the slightest bit interested in ‘being cool’.

I think Bruce is an embarrassment and a liability but no one at the BBC has the guts to give him the push likewise Tess whateverhernameis.

I am now finding the whole thing too ‘contrived’ and predictable right down to Craig who I am sure has pre rehearsed his comments.

My whole reason for watching the programme is to see the dancers. The other night I noted a whole 11 minutes was filled with unnecessary trivia before the dancing got even started.

So come on BBC, get rid of Bruce, Tess and Craig and lets have more attention on the dancers and less on the trivia .

Ooo-la-la …
Go for it gal - get it off yer chest ! :-p
