Spring Flowers

Well I never! Rats like nectarines do they?
I would love to see a lemon tree in real life, your picture is the first I’ve seen of one and the lemons look bigger than the piddly little things we buy in the shops here.

I love the lemon and orange trees maryl. When we go to our little local town, approx 2/3 miles away, it’s lovely because both sides of the road are lemon, orange and pomegranite trees, all the way. The pomegranite blossoms are absolutely beautiful, they are bright red and look very spectacular.

Sounds like heaven

can’t remember if this was last year or the year before, but it’s pink almond blossom.

Marian, your snowdrops are wonderful, and Bonnie is a lovely addition!

Clumsy, lovely photos-the one of the pink almond blossom is stunning!

Thanks Merz

Clumsy I agree with Merz love your photos especially the Pink almond blossom!

My spring flowers are under 4" of snow:-(

OOh noo… no snow here

Woke up this morning to see a covering of 5" or so of Snow, poor old plants, hope it at least keeps them warm
February as usual is set to live up to it’s reputation as the coldest of the Winter months, brrrrrrrrrr

My cyclamen, crocus and snowdrops were showing their flowers after the weekend snow. It’s started snowing again!

They wont like the snow, they’ll probably hibernate

I took these photos today, the lemon amused me, it’s growing out of the tree trunk.

Lovely photos Loretta, especially the lemon growing out of the tree trunk

Lovely pics, Loretta  What a beautiful colour those flowers are!

That lemon is amazing growing from the tree trunk!

I bought a miniature lemon tree last year, the description on the label said it would produce fruit profusely … I await that day as it’s only 10" tall at the moment!

Mags from experience with fruit trees here they all seem to take at least 4 years to get established, I don’t know why but every fruit tree we have bought has been 4 years before they produced anything.

That lemon growing on the bottom of the tree trunk really amused me, it just looks so weird.

I hope you are not all snowed in, it’s been a lovely day here today, very warm in the sun but cold out of the sun.

Thanks for that info Loretta, I will now know not to get too disappointed if it appears “lemonless” in the next few years;-)

We haven’t got much snow here but it’s certainly very cold!

Woo hoo have got my first daffodil about to burst into flower  Nearly didn’t see it as its sulking from the recent cold snap, so hopefully if this weather keeps up it will flower this week which I’ve not known before

some almond blossom photos taken by my OH this morning, the blue water is a reservoir.
