Well it has certainly been a lovely sunny day in my part of the world today, turning a bit colder outside as I type but I will settle for this as opposed to ice and snow any time.
Same here Marian, had a look at them this morning and they looked so sorry for themselves Perked up well during the day, but theyâve had wilted again tonightâŠsuch a shame as they were doing so well.
Yes its a real shame Merz and they are going to have to put up with this ongoing cold spell.
Camelias blooming profusely, snowdrops out, even some grape hyacinths and a sprouting clematis! Daffs all budding but alas something is eating the buds
Wow Ania you must live in a mild climate if youâve got camelias blooming
Yep, in the Gulf Stream here in southwest Ireland, though feels pretty cold today.
Here the almond blossoms are out and everywhere is pink and white, it looks so beautiful. This will be the first year I havenât taken photos of them, but I havenât mastered taking photos with one hand yet, Iâm working on it though. My little Lime tree is also coming into blossom and soon the buds on the nectarine tree and plum tree will open too. The lemon tree fruits and flowers all year round, which is nice, but what to do with so many lemons? I slice and freeze them for drinks instead of ice cubes, I make lemon meringues, lemon curd, lemonade, give them away when we can, not easy as most people have lemon trees. Iâm all lemoned out:-D
That sounds very nice Clumsy, you may like to try your hand at home made lemonade if you have such a profusion of lemons?
The almond blossoms sound lovely Clumsy and would love to see a photo if you are able to manage with one hand
As the sun was shining today I took a photo of my snowdrops in the garden.

Oh Marian, how absolutely beautiful! I love to see snowdrops like this and Bonnie is as pretty as a picture amongst them.
We are going to Kingston Lacey Manor, home of the Bankes family at the weekend, we go every year just to see the carpets of snow drops there, estimated to be six and a half million.
The photos are lovely marpaul but I must be honest the only snow I want to see is on pictures. I will do my best to take pics of the almond blossom, I am missing taking photos, failing me being able to do it I will beat my OH into submission and force him to take some for me.
I do make lemonade Bob.b but mostly in the summer.
The thought of those lemons has made my mouth water
Beautiful photos of the snowdrops, and a lovely sized garden you have. But I think Bonnie is adorable.
Your photos are lovely Marian, I do love snowdrops ⊠especially multiple âcarpetsâ like yours.
Nice to see Bonnie enjoying the sun there among the snowdropsâŠ
Thanks everyone. The snowdrops do look nice and there are twice as many as in the photo, around the side of the house. My neighbour comes and helps herself to some when theyâve finished flowering :-D:-D
Wow! thatâs lovely, Loretta⊠it must be so nice to pick fresh lemons.
Marion how lovely to see so many snowdrops, just magical :-p
Loretta does the lemon tree have a strong scent, I bet the lemons taste wonderfulâŠ
How lovely to see a lemon tree, Iâve never seen one before. Thanks for posting Loretta
glad you like my lemon tree, it was just a little twiggy thing when we first bought it. It was 4 years before it began having fruit, since then itâs never stopped, itâs about 11 years old now. weâve sort of worked out that buying a twiggy fruit tree takes around 4 years for it to settle and start producing fruit.
we have a lovely nectarine tree which was loaded with fruit last year, but virtually every fruit had big bites taken out of it, we couldnât imagine what was eating them. we found out when our neighbour said she had seen 3 rats jump out of the tree. we put a rat trap in a safe place where the dogs and birds couldnât get and sure enough within half an hour we had the first rat, the second one followed a few hours after, the third one was never seen again.
