No they just won’t be able to go into a pub or to a football match .
The other way around …
It’s more proof you’ve been vaccinated or have had a test to show you are covid clear before entering high attendance or crowded venues … like nightclubs, footie matches or music concerts.
That’s what I thought. It seemed a bit odd to suggest that those who don’t get vaccined have to carry around proof of it. Bit like wearing an “I’m a virgin” badge.
Sorry Ruthio I have inadvertently flagged this post and do not know how to reverse it .
Yes you are right this is unacceptable behaviour .
My sister has worked on a covid ward during the worst of the outbreak & both she & other colleagues all got covid more than once in less than a year.
My wife works at a different hospital & lost a colleague who was in her 30’s & a very fit marathon runner. Like many other things, Covid is most dangerous to those who already have a vulnerability. But we are all vulnerable to Covid regardless of age or fitness.
I posted not to worry, but I’m informed my post was removed.
Any idea why?
I can only think it’s because I mistakenly flagged it I don’t know how to reverse this
Madness!!
Why on earth does anyone have to identify their medical status to other people ?
Doing this encourages discrimination by those who consider themselves elite.
We shall have to carry our complete medical history around with us while an establishment decides whether someone who has Herpes, Hepatitis, Flu, syfilis etc, or boils on their arse, are allowed to enter the premises.
If it’s true that having the VaX doesn’t stop you from carrying it, and only lowers the chance of catching it, then everyone, in the pub, is at the same risk, surely?
No need for documents, just be very careful.
Sneeze on no one!`
Vaxxed or not.
Becasue these extraordinary circumstances are we are in a pandemic a world wide pandemic if case no one has noticed .
Actually Ted, I don’t even think the vaccine lowers your risk of catching the virus or passing it on, but it might stop you from dying of it…
I think it’s the ‘Going darn the pub’ bit that might decide whether you catch it or not Muddy, not whether you have been vaxxed or not.
Thats no justification for infringing peoples rights to privacy over their medical status etc. As Ted correctly points out, your vaccinations do not prevent the spread of covid.
Absolutely right OGF.
The pandemic we have is of propaganda.
You may be right a reason why we no longer go to pubs .
BTW No one speaks like that where I live ?
Is that some sort of regional accent ?
A recent negative Lateral Flow Test should be all the proof you need if required.
Whether you’re vaxxed or not.
In case you had it noticed there is a country wide shortage of lateral flow tests .
Also there is no way of proving that it is yours unless you stand outside the pub door poking sticks up your nose .
Not around here Muddy. But if you haven’t got a negative result, hard cheese, watch telly at home instead.
