Van has been off the road since 6th April, mobile mechanic is here today to hopefully finish it off. The Camshaft Oil Seal was leaking so it made sense to have the Cambelt, Tensioner and Water Pump replaced at the same time, but, the pully on the camshaft is unkeyed which means it can be replaced in any position on the sprocket and the camshaft managed to move which isnât good so, an alignment tool has had to be purchased to guarantee correct position of Crank and Camshafts.
The marks the mechanic made (red and white) are immaterial if the shaft has moved

Had to get involved with the van, one problem after another, nearly there now, this is the tool that holds the crankshaft in position.
These are the tools that insert into the spark plug holes to establish the pistons are level and the cranks in the correct position
This is the tool that locks the front camshaft
Same type of tool to lock the rear camshaft, had to do a lot of modification to get this to locate without having to remove the entire inlet manifold
Time to get the mechanic in again next week.

Going to load the Saracen onto the Moho bike rack this weekend, I think it will be ok with the weight. Saw these exhibits in the Cotswolds last weekend, the first ever horse drawn caravan and Prince Phillips Caravan
