Pictures of my golden retrievers

This was willow, he had hip dysplasia at 4 months. We took him to a private swimming pool that specialised for dogs and it made his muscles tighten up to support his bones. He didn’t need a hip replacement and he behaved like a normal dog.

Yes I thought that too, which is why I didn’t want to read the article.

Ah, he’s lovely logan.
Phoebe used to go ‘doggy swimming’, which is where she developed her love of water methinks. She loves swimming and loves messing about in water generally. :grinning:

Logan, how many Goldies have you had?

Thank you Pesta, apart from willow ours don’t go in water, never had the opportunity. They don’t much like the rain, especially when it’s very heavy and bracken he would walk around a puddle. :grinning:

This was bracken, he would go into people’s houses and cars if he had the opportunity and steel toys off children if he could.

Beautiful dogs, Logan.
I’ve always liked Goldies, but the nearest I ever got was a Goldie/Collie cross who was being badly treated.
It took a while, but once he decided to trust me, I began training with him. He loved it, and he excelled, and eventually did well in obedience competitions.
He slept by my bed for the next 14 years. Sadly, long gone now.

Here he is, along with my pet Sheep, Penny.

I’ve never had a dog its always been cats in our house…have to admit seeing all the posts here I keep wondering if maybe I should have had dogs too…cats and dogs can live happily together can’t they especially if they are introduced when they are pups and kittens.

Really lovely pics here…a joy to view and read about.

This was taken at dog training, it was nearly Christmas and the trainer had a photographer there.this was before we had bracken

He was lucky to get them all to sit nicely like that …I used to have three cats and getting them all together for a photo would have been like herding frogs

Gorgeous dogs @logan1 , we used to have retrievers but then had black labs for awhile after that, they still shed but nowhere near as much.

This morning I took this of Berry, he went into the crate by himself but always move the bedding to one side and lay on the bottom of it.
