I googled that and it came back with Shepherds Bush. Surely not???
Yes, an old trainline that’s been out of use for years, now back in business.
Aha. Got the train. Cannot for the life of me remember a disused railway! Mind you, I did leave London in 1983 and have visited infrequently since then.
Actually, maybe I’ve got this wrong, but the name of the line is new, Hammersmith & City, and the name of the nearest station is new, Wood Lane.
Did you live in those parts Dext
Thanks.I would like that.It looks like my sort of holiday place.
You’d be very welcome Mr Smith, and I’d lay on a chauffeur driven car (me) to show you the sights…
I lived just down the hill from Chiswick Park station, in a house overlooking Acton Green (W45ED if you want to look it up, number 26).
So Shepherd’s Bush was a fairly frequent place to go to, even more so when I went to school at Cardinal Vaughan and walked back through the Bush before getting a bus back (used to be the 88, but it might be the 94 now). Naturally Shepherd’s Bush, Hammersmith etc became my local social stomping grounds.
While your at it dood, look up ‘Roxby Place’ behind Earls Court…There a factory there I used to work for…I wondered if it was still there…‘Habit Diamond’

Yayyy i always do that, good innit
There’s your problem.
well spotted. One of my big mistakes is not checking all the camera settings first
The Ed Miller Band…
The boys setting up prior to the sound check yesterday afternoon outside The Brewery Shades. It was the first time that they’d used a certain WiFi technology for outdoors gigs so it took a little longer than anticipated to start their first set. They were bloody good though!
It’s Hove isn’t it…did you bump into Angela Rayner?
Any relation to Steve? I loved that band especially when he wasn’t stoned.
are these the same lads
Not to my knowledge Bruce…I took some pictures with one of my 35mm cameras. Not easy when you’ve had several pints of strong ale. Black and white film at 3200 ASA.
I’ll just have to see how they come out when I get them back from the processer. I’m no David Bailey, probably lucky I didn’t get a hefty bass guitar wrapped around my head!
Seriously though, they were terrific and good sports regarding my very amateur photography
