Thanx for the info dood but it’s my head that’s in the cloud these days.
I have no idea what flower this is. It just appeared in my garden on its own, beautifully unique in its own way
Doing a search comes up with Scadoxus multiflorus. Blood Lily
Native to most of sub-Saharan Africa from Senegal to Somalia to South Africa.
It is also native to Arabian Peninsula and to the Seychelles.
It is naturalized in Mexico and in the Chagos Archipelago.
Also found in Indian peninsula.
@Bretrick
Thanks a lot for looking it up! So it’s called Blood Lily, how cool! I never would’ve guessed it has such a wide native range. It’s amazing how it just appeared in my garden out of nowhere, nature’s full of little mysteries!
Spectacular!
Where is that?
Did I mention it has been wet on the coast while I was away?
That was just me reversing my camper in, enhanced by my daughter’s Jimny 4x4 leaving this morning, the ground is saturated
Is it in canada or where?
Yikes! Is there someone you can phone, to get them back to where they belong?
Amazing you knew that offhand. Sharing a picture from a friend passing through Alberta, Banff area.
Hi C, I was sharing a picture from a friend passing through Canada on route to Alaska. This picture I believe they were in Banff area, Alberta. Amazing guess below though. impressive.
A contrast picture, the friend sent from Alaska
Just for more variance, a picture from home, Texas
Now who thinks the Texas picture was most impressive? :).
Texas does it for me LF!
