That’s true, Bob. They did not even have coaches in mind which even in the 14th century would still have been extremely rare.

No jingle bells. This is what nature looks like at Christmas in my neck of the woods, more like the end of autumn than winter. If you say the landscape feels cold and desolate as it looked this morning from my bicycle, I agree,

but back home I spotted some early buds on my hydrangea. It’s been far to warm again before the next frost will destroy them.

A venomous Dugite Snake at Mandurah Western Australia, November 2024.
Dugite venom causes the blood to clot and the victim, including humans can die within hours.
The last death from a Dugite snake bite was in 2015 when a woman out for a pleasant afternoon walk in South Fremantle was bitten on the heel.

Excellent, Mr Foxy! I have probably commented that my cousin’s husband runs marathons quite regularly - so far around 110 and different places including the Antarctic.
