For me ir was violin and acoustic guitar. I used to play gentle music for kids to send them to sleep.

If I could relive my life again, I would have definitely concentrated on learning to play guitar.

For my midlife crisis I bought a handsome dark blue Washburn bass guitar and quite a hefty second hand amp. My logic being that if there are only four strings to master then how difficult could it be?

I bought the guitar after going through a saxophone and clarinet phase. Most of our family could play an instrument to some some degree. Brother was in a Skiffle Group on harmonica. Father was violin and banjo mandolin. Sister was piano and accordion.
