Lovely day here with a nice breeze .I’ve cleaned my window so thats my lot
Hope Celyn has some good news
Weather not to bad here today. Visited my friend today and then did some food shopping. I have the painters here painting the window frames and garage door and balcony.
Morning all. Busy morning ahead of me. Lexi to the vet for her annual jabs and checkup, then Rob to Brecon Hospital for a filling. Don’t know when we’ll manage lunch as appointment is for 1.30 pm. Then must remember to pick up boys from the buses! Hope the weather cheers up a bit.
Strange weather this morning. Sun, rain and sun again.
Cottowwool brain after all the information absorbed from the Oncolgist at Fitzpatrick Refferals. Fantastic new state of the art Cancer Hospital. Puts human facilities to shame. Lark had her first Chemo yesterday, after several hours consultation. On a scale of 1 to 5 she was classed as 4 to 5. Oncologist said it would have only developed 4 to 6 weeks ago! If she goes into remission then 7 months life expectancy. The clock starts ticking now! I am assured that dogs weather chemo with little effects, unlike us humans. I now have to travel to Guildford, weekly for her treatment, for 16 weeks. Weighing up the pros and cons it’s worth it.
same weather here, one minute bright sun then really dark . A bit of a wind up as well.m Sea is very rough and noisy
Good luck with Lark Celyn, its great that they can help
What a decision to have to make Celyn. Thinking of you.
Having a Victor Meldrew moment here. After two engineers here on Wednesday to sort out the wheelchair, put Rob into it yesterday afternoon and one of the cables controlling the tilt mechanism broke! Rang the maintenance dept immediately and the young lady informed me that they probably wouldn’t be able to get someone out to us NEXT WEDNESDAY as they were already fully booked!!! I nearly hit the ceiling - watch this space.
Haircut this morning and going out for a meal this evening, whoo hoo!!
Celyn good luck with Lark’s treatment. Sue its disgusting that they cant get some one till next week to fix Rob’s wheelchair. Raining here this morning and I’m packed ready to Arran for the weekend with my niece.
Lark is bouncing this a.m. So fortunately chemo not having an adverse effect. Started building an extension next door. It’s quite a way away but the peace is shattered as they use a pneumatic drill to break up a concrete base. Going to be a mixed weather bag today although the rain may have already reached Wales.
A friend gave me some larva bread from Swansea market, for my birthday, last week. Unfortunately I was super greedy and ate it all in one go. Oh it brought back wonderful memories. How does everyone here cook theirs. I have it on toast. I can’t remember how he said they had theirs, but it wasn’t prepared the same way.
Sue what a travesty. Sometimes it’s as if these people conspire to make life as difficult as possible.
I’ve only eaten Laver bread once and didnt like it
Mixed weather here, poured down last night , shame because Neath Fair was on . My friend said they were soaked.
Overcast and windy here so just chilling
Hope wheelchair gets sorted Sue and glad Lark is perky Celyn xxx
Rang the wheelchair people again this morning and played h*ll - result - engineer coming tomorrow morning. I’ve compiled a log of phone calls and am going to write to the Chief Exec and suggest we have a new chair…
My aunt used to fry laverbread in the pan that had cooked the bacon. I have tried it but wasn’t too keen. It’s becoming popular again now though, seaweed is all the rage!
Just of out for a meal with friends, but I’m driving so no drinkies!!
Hope you had a nice meal Sue xxHope wheelchair gets sorted Asap
Changeable day here, one minute sun then clouds over and looks like rain
No plans for today , prob just chill
Pouring today but our southern gardens need it and it means I was able to clean some of the windows.
Hope that the wheelchair is sorted Sue I feel your frustration, it’s an essential piece of Rob’s kit.
Took Lark out for her first walk today. Day 3 post chemo should have been her worst. She has responded well to the chemo, which bodes well for remission, and no ill effects. Medication is keeping it in check.
How nice to be able to dry clothes outdoors today.
Been busy making Welsh cakes and jelly ready for grandson’s party tomorrow.
Hope Lark improves Celyn.
You have made me hungry with talks of Weish cakes. My sister often sends me a box she has made. Unfortunately she has tweaked the recipe so much to make it free from that they don’t taste like Welsh cakes any longer.
Real misty moisty morning. I cleaned the internal Windows yesterday. I needn’t have bothered as they are all steamed up and Karcher is making the first run of the season to demist!
Lovely sunshine here and a nice breeze, Tide is full in so only surfers enjoying
My laptop is sooo slow I think I’ll have to take it in for some TLC
Glorious day here today and loads of washing out before Church. Spent yesterday afternoon in the Cathedral and had visitors from Bahrain, Saudi, Canada, Somerset, Cardiff, Reading and more places than I can remember! A fellow “Welcomer” said to me when I started “This place is like an umbrella - if it’s raining you’ll have lots of visitors”. How true.
Sounds as though Lark is doing well Celyn. How often does she have to have chemo? Lexi went home for the weekend, but is coming back this evening.
Once a week for 16 weeks Sue. She is doing well. Unfortunately it only puts them into remission for a matter of 5 to 7 months the time starts from the beginning of chemo(if it works) but I;m hoping for a miracle. If I hadn’t started chemo, or she hadn’t shown some response, then she wouldn’t have been here this week. Horrible thought.Michael can’t stop crying Just enjoying having here her.
Celyn glad to hear that Lark is doing well. Sue hope they have fixed out the wheelchair problems.Had a lovely time in Arran with my niece, Friday was a bit windy and yesterday we had some sunshine.
Valentinojess you do have some lovely trips but then I suppose they are right on your doorstep. You are so lucky.
