Grandson did some btec too so I’ve been informed he’s ended up with 9GCSE.Don’t understand all these “exams”,I did “O” levels! Even if he’d only passed one-Mamgu would be pleased for him.
Rhosyn well done to your grandson. Sue why do they make appointments and then cancel them, hope they arrive tomorrow on time.
Oh they don’t give you a time Jess - that’s one of my gripes, 'cos you have to stay in all day, even if you do fancy going out, or have an appointment elsewhere! Grrrr!!!
Have had the grandsons today and apart from tidying up the back porch a bit this morning and putting out the re-cycling, it’s rained all day! They’ve been very good though and have played (all over the house) with their toy tractors and implements. We’ve put a few pieces in the jigsaw - which is likely to be with us until Christmas at this rate - and made some cakes and that’s about it for the day. Jamie was off to rugby training this evening - hope he’s taken his waders…
We still haven’t had rain here for weeks. We had about 15 minutes of spots here this afternoon which didn’t stop me gardening. It’s still very warm and today humid.
Congratulations to your grandson rhosyn. He did well.
Forgot to say well done to your grandson Rhosyn, sorry about that!
Thank you for your congratulations. Will try and see him over the weekend with a card and money. To think that years ago some of these children were just shut away and forgotten about. He’s done so well.
Meeting my granddaughter for lunch later.
Always good when the kids do well Rhosyn xx
Lovely warm sunshine here but the tide is full in so not much room on the beach. Lovely for me to look at though
Sue hope you didn’t have to wait to long for the guy to fix the chair. No rain here today although I think its predicted for tonight.
Wheelchair engineer came at lunchtime, but he’s not too happy with one of the gas struts (it controls the slope of the back of the chair), so although he’s adjusted it (again) I have a feeling it won’t last too long! So a new one is on order and we are still keeping fingers crossed!
DIL brought me two beautiful muchrooms this evening, guess what I’m having for lunch tomorrow (with bacon and runner beans of course)
Well rain predicted here, at the moment it’s a no show! It is cloudy though and not as unbearably hot. Lunch sounds nice Sue. I love mushrooms. I think sosme gardening today while it’s cooler.
Overcast here,looks like rain later
I had to out to chemist , meds due on Monday but I nearly forgot its Bank Holiday
Got a DVD to watch called Suffragettes so will watch that later
Lunch was delish!! Son won’t be happy. Combine delivered yesterday lunchtime and it’s rained on and off all day here. Tipping down atm. Did some shopping first thing, but have just fiddled about all day since…
I met a friend in town today for lunch and we sat outside and watched the world go by. It looks like we are going have rain here tonight, better at night than the morning.
I see we are into the baby frog season here again. Last night had three in the kitchen doorway and this morning there is one in the middle of the dining room! How on earth did he get there? (They are about the size of the top joint of my thumb, so no great problem to deal with).
Church this morning, then to pick up Lexi and village Fete this afternoon. I may be some time…
I don’t what I’d do if I got a baby frog in the kitchen. Raining here today but it looks like its clearing away and I’ll go out for a walk later.
I haven’t seen a frog for years.
Overcast with heavy showers here so wont be doing much
My cats used to bring them in…goodness knows where from !..What did you think of the CBB result Jac ?
A fix methinks:!::!::!:
That’s amazing how the froglets are coming in Sue. Our pond is right outside the kitchen door but we only see grown up ones and, like Nimby, the cats bring them in.
Nursing a sore hand and head. Yesterday dog walking something flew into my hair and got tangled. I put my hand up and it stung it and as I was trying to get it out, head upside down and shaking my hair like a demented demon, it kept stinging my head. I was desperate for someone to come along and help but not a soul around in the fields.
Cloudy but warm still. Gardening I think. Managed a bonfire yesterday as part of the garden revamp cleaning up process.
Would really like to know how the frogs get here - the nearest brook is a good half mile down the road! Of course they could be toads, or rather toadlets, it’s hard to tell when they are so small.
Had a walk down the road after lunch with Chris and Lexi and we did our good deed for the day. Found a baby pheasant swimming in the feed bucket for the pony down the road (filled with water from yesterday’s downpour). Lexi shoved her nose under Mama pheasant, who took off with a great deal of noise, so we put Lexi on the lead and took her out of the field and I put the baby pheasant down where Mama flew from. Hopefully he’ll dry out and be none the worse for wear - and his mum will come back to him. Lexi is now cooling off behind the settee and I’m just going to have a cuppa. DIL has picked up Chris and they are off to watch Dad combining - when he can make up his mind which field to tackle first. Let’s hope this weather lasts for a few days to get the harvest in and finished with.
Hope the head is better today Celyn, sounds nasty!
That was scary Celyn xx
Nimby ,I think it was a fix
Lovely sunny day and lots of folk enjoying the beach . I’ve been happy to sit here and enjoy it
