I have an appt. with the podiatrist at Llandrindod Hospital Outpatients tomorrow and had a phone call this morning asking whether I had any Covid symptoms etc. One question really made me laugh. “Have you done any international travel in the last 14 days?” Chance would be a fine thing.
Chilly here this morning but quite pleasant in the conservatory. Think I’m going to have to admit defeat with the puzzle I’m doing. Need to move it all to put the tree up!
Overcast and chilly here . Not doing much
Take care xxx
Dismal morning.
Went shopping earlier, went to 4 different shops, nearly forgot to put my mask going into one-oops!
Stay safe.
Blotted my copybook in a big way yesterday - forgot to pick up grandson from the school bus. No excuse, just forgot! I suddenly realised at 4 pm and shot out to find him - bless him, he’s started to walk home, but was quite glad to be picked up and fed tea and biscuits.
Did my trip to the podiatrist this morning, all very well organised and although she can’t do anything about my painful feet (except give me a sheet of exercises) was good to talk to her. She had the vaccine yesterday - didn’t realise they’d got as far as Wales!
Did a load of shopping for Christmas bits and pieces in Aldi - everyone is having chocolate or biscuits, end of…
Wet and chilly here .Cleaned out my kitchen drawers and found a lot of junk .
No news so take care xxx
Dismal morning.

Glorious morning, sat in the conservatory with Rob until I got too warm! However the day went downhill after lunch. Arranged to go out to dinner this evening with friends from the farm up the road and then had a phone call from Ness saying that she would be on her way before long! I offered to cancel but she was adamant that I go, she’ll amuse herself until I get back!
Pouring down this morning.
Had a text message from my hairdresser earlier, her brother has tested positive for Covid. She has been in close contact with him so she is being tested.I was due for a haircut on Tuesday but better to have untidy hair than be ill.
Delivered cards to neighbours yesterday so that’s another thing to cross off my list(have a few list about the place!)
Stay safe and dry.
Pouring down so a day by the fire . I’ve sent a few cards i had in the drawer but not buying any more .Couldnt believe the price on postage
Keep warm and safe xxx
Postage is going up again in January Jac - is it any wonder that people use email and social media to communicate?
Had a lovely meal last night, but halfway through the battery went down on my hearing aid. Didn’t bother me much, the two friends I was with speak pretty clearly and we were sitting opposite each other. Got home about 9.45 pm to find that Ness had arrived and was just putting the kettle on when I realised that my hearing aid was no longer in my ear! To cut a long story short, it must have flown out of my ear when I took my mask off just outside the door of the pub and spent the night on the cobbles outside. However, I retrieved it and it spend the afternoon on the Aga drying out, new battery in and we are back on the air. (I was wondering how I was going to explain to the Audiololgy Department in Brecon Hospital that I had lost it)!
Sue-you could always blame the naughty elf!
Got caught in a hail storm on the way back from walk this morning-poor dog must have hurt with hailstone landing on him.
Staying in today, might get some presents wrapped, not very good at that.
Stay safe.
Sunny with showers at the moment . Glad you found your hearing aid Sue xx
Not doing much so keep safe xxx
Yes, that Elf could come in handy over the Christmas period!
Youngest grandson arrived complete with laptop this morning in order to do his school work on line. Fair play to him, he stuck to it until he was finished. I had to leave him to it (carer was in Rob’s room so he wasn’t alone in the house) while I went to the surgery to fetch Rob’s meds and MAR chart. Surgery are insisting that I order a week in advance and collect everything in one go. I was dubious about the whole issue but reluctantly complied and sat down and ordered everything last Wednesday. Was not best pleased when I got there this morning to find out that they hadn’t done the chart. Receptionist suggested I go home and return in the afternoon - pointed out that I urgently needed two of the items and anyway it’s a 10 mile round trip to Hay, so I sat and waited (and fumed) for half an hour. When I eventually picked up the bags I could hardly carry them they were so heavy. In the twenty years Rob has been home I’ve never had a problem with ordering things when I wanted them, why we have to change the whole system now I don’t know. Rant over. Sorry folks!
Sunshine here after the rain .
My friend was out shopping with her niece . Niece didnt feel well so had a Covid test -positive -her 3 young teens took the test-positive with no symptoms so now my poor friend is housebound. What a strange world
Take care xxxx
Oh dear, your poor friend Jac. Hope she’s OK.
Youngest grandson here again - this morning’s project - to make a 3d model of a red blood cell!!! The things we have to do for school. However that has been accomplished and I’ve done some more work on the memory book for Rhian’s present. Must think about lunch now - my Asda order will no doubt arrive in the middle of getting it ready.
Another rainy day.
Been having trouble with my “water works”.Thought I had urine tract infection but after taking sample to surgery there was no infection.Had to go to surgery for examination after waiting half an hour was finally seen.No diagnosis just keep drinking plenty and practise bladder control,to go back if no improvement.Conclusion-old age brings problems!
These Christmas get together rules are a bit confusing.
Stay safe.

My friends test was negative so she is ok albeit lonely .
Wet day here .
My granddaughter who lives in Liverpool made a surprise visit yesterday . She wanted to come down after Xmas day but was afraid of the lockdown . She has a 1 yr old and brought him down to visit me for a very short while . She came by train and said the carriage was filthy
Hope you feel better soon Rhosyn . I feel really lousy but not sure why . OH well. Take care xxx
Glad your friend is OK Jac.
Well Mr. Drakeford has scuppered my Christmas Sunday. We were to be 3 households meeting for a meal at the Golf Club. GC is closed at 6 pm on Christmas Day and 3 households can’t meet up! Ah well, look forward to another time.
Been to Church this morning to get loads of candles out. We have a service on Sunday - no flowers because it’s Advent, so we’ve just found some candles to cheer us up a bit. Grandson stayed here and did his homework while I was out. He’s really very good and gets on with it without a fuss. I was surprised at how many of his friends were not registering for class.
