Missing my grandsons. The youngest is out of isolation today so I expect they’ve gone to play rugby. The match yesterday was a great deal better than I expected it to be, but too many penalties given away.
Think we are in the clouds here this morning, can hardly see across the road. Don’t think it’s going to “come out”.
There are a couple on FB Sue but I havent got any yet .
Dismal day here. I’ve changed my bed and I.m sure it gets harder to do every time . I had a bad night so shattered today

Know just what you mean about changing the bed Jac, I;m a b*gger for putting it off. Have to have a sit down in the middle of it sometimes!
Cleaned Granny’s silver tray this morning, washed all the glasses on it and put them back and dusted the top of the dresser - had to have a sit down after that lot too.
Tackled the vicar about a service in our Church and found out we have one on December 20th - that’ll be the first in Llanbedr since February. Still have to pay our quota every quarter though. I’m thinking of putting in a protest about that.
Frosty this morning.
Granddaughter and family have gone to Blue Stone until Friday. There’s a Christmas theme in the park, the children are going to have a great time-and the adults too!I will miss their visit this week.
Lovely news about the new baby Jac.
So from Friday the pubs here will not be selling booze-not that worries me-I don’t drink!
Stay safe.
not a bad day here ,lots of horses excercising on the beach
Laura and Tyler calling down later with the baby . I,m not too happy about them taking him out and about . Not sure if they should but it will be nice to see him even though no cuddles
Keep safe xxx
Had a lovely drive this morning - to the hospital for laundry. But the sun was shining in my eyes all the way. Much better coming home. A friend has just posted a video clip from a YFC competition in 1988 (youngest son and eldest are on it). Still makes me laugh.
Dark old day here . Tesco has been and thats my last one until New Year so I doubled up on some things
Saw baby yesterday , he is lovely . They didnt stay long but it was good to see them
Stay safe xxx
Saw the youngest grandson yesterday for the first time after a fortnight (isolation for him, because a girl in his class has tested positive). Big discussion about Christmas presents - but I’m none the wiser…
Really must get down to doing some cards tomorrow. Photos I ordered arrived yesterday so did some more to granddaughters book this morning.
Rainy morning.
Had a phone call from dentist yesterday to cancel my check up appointment tomorrow,if I have problems(which I don’t)to ring them-they are only seeing patients who need treatment for now.
Must start the cards today.Posted the overseas ones on Monday.I do like “real” Christmas cards.
Good news re the Covid vaccine.
Stay safe.
Here we go - first snow of the winter. Long discussion yesterday with the firm supplying Rob’s “food”. Pointed out that we really need a buffer supply in case of bad weather - we do not live on an urban street which is cleared of snow!
Still haven’t done anything about the cards - the list is upstairs!
Cold and rainy this morning.
Granddaughter and family came back from Blue Stone yesterday, the children had a wonderful time-so did the parents!
Santa’s coming through the village on his tractor at 6.30 this evening, there’s usually children in elf costumes walking and collecting money for local charities but Covid has put a stop to that this year.
Keep safe.
Another damp one
Laura just popped in , she had picked up my meds
Son in law upset about closing the restaurant at 6pm and no alcohol . He has had to throw loads of beer out. No worth him opening
Keep safe xxx
Bit of a shock when I got up this morning, we must have had a covering of snow overnight. However, it soon melted so I braved an expedition to Hay to get some bits. Saw my "next door " neighbour coming in to the shop as I was going out - haven’t seen her since May!
We’re all upset here about the decision of our local pub to close down after take-aways this evening and not open again until next March. Same with the Metropole (big hotel in Llandrindod) and Foyle’s (posh restaurant). In a way we are lucky - if desperate we can travel ten miles over the border to the first pub in England! (Serves lovely meals).
Game day again, wonder what the result will be this time…
Very frosty this morning.
Son going up the attic later to get the decorations. Will probably put them up during the week.
Bit of a lack lustre game yesterday but at least they won.
Keep safe and warm.
I only saw the first half of yesterday’s game - bit underwhelming - got hooked on the snooker! Finals today, will be glued to that!
Cold one here today. Made another big pan of soup - seem to be living on it atm. That’s not quite true, there’s loads of odds and ends in the freezer to be finished up!
Have done my Christmas cards, but still not done much about presents - may be getting some cash to send out and probably loads of chocs.
Lovely warm sunshine on my window . Sitting here with it open
Managed to get a Tesco slot for 2/1 so kids will have to help out til then . Got loads in for a while
Keep safe
Tried to stay up to watch the end of the snooker last night, but had to give up at midnight - couldn’t keep my eyes open any longer. The “Thunder from Down Under” Neil Robertson won in the end - my money was on him!
Spent all morning pottering about, putting things away etc. Oil has been delivered so we will be warm over Christmas
Frosty morning slippery underfoot in some places.
Grandson(15yrs) has to isolate until 19th,someone tested positive for Covid in the school. That means no school until next year,he has school work to do at home.
Will put some decorations up today.
Stay safe.
Managed to get an evening slot for Tesco next Tues .May not need much but I took it anyway .
Nice sunshine here . Just cleaned my cooker so thats my lot
Take care
