Nice bright frosty morning-dog had a good play with his friend in the frosty field.
Made a big saucepan of chicken soup yesterday enough for a couple of days.
Hope you’re feeling better Jac.
Keep safe and warm.
Another frosty morning.
Wonder how my dog will cope with the fireworks tonight, didn’t have him this time last year so I don’t know what his reaction will be.Hope he’ll be ok.I hate fireworks.
Quiet on here.
Keep safe.
Where are you girls?!Hope you’re ok.
A friend’s granddaughter has tested positive for Covid. She’s in Bath uni and shares a house with 5 girls.
Frost again this morning but nice and sunny now.
Going to disentangle the solar garden lights and put them away ready for next year later.
Keep safe.
No frost this morning.
The village has a competition for the best window display for Rememberance Sunday tomorrow,it’s nice to see so many poppies in windows especially the ones the children have made.
Looking forward to Strictly tonight-some sort of normality to a Saturday night.
Keep safe.
I’m back! Internet has been down since late Tuesday night until late last night. I felt cut off from the world. We have had some lovely sunny days - just as well as I’ve had loads and loads of washing. Made a bid for freedom this morning, picked up my friend at 8.15 and off we went to Aldi in Llandrindod. Everyone had had the same thought there were loads of cars in the car park by the time we got there, but not too crowded in the store thank goodness.
Not many fireworks round here - there’s usually a good evening at the Golf Club with soup and chips after the bonfire but of course that was cancelled. Thinking about going to open air service for Remembrance Day tomorrow, will see what the weather’s like.
Hope Jac’s OK.
Great to see you back-Sue,
Drizzling this morning but didn’t get too wet.
Going out on the doorstep at 11 this morning to observe the 2mts silence. The people of the village are encouraged to stand outside their doors. There won’t be a service in the church this year, the scouts and guides usually walk through the village to the church. The Cenotaph ceremony in London will be so different this year.
I too hope Jac is okay.
Keep safe.
Well not going to stand out in the Churchyard in Aberedw in this - it’s pouring and can hardly see across the road. Heating is on and I’ve put the bins out ready for tomorrow, which wasn’t a pleasant ten minutes.
Songs of praise is coming from Brecon Cathedal today at 1.15 pm, so going to be watching a lot of TV today I think.
Well I missed Songs of Praise but went to the Remembrance Service at Llandeilo Graban (outside in the Churchyard). Luckily the skies cleared and the sun nearly came out and I’d wrapped up like a sore thumb so was warm enough. Our Vicar’s last service, he’s off to another Church in Brecon shortly, so we’ll be without one from now on.
Another misty grey day here, but not actually raining atm. Made a big casserole to pass on the farm tomorrow and got up to date with the washing and ironing.
Getting worried about Jac now, will have to go and look if I have her phone number somewhere.
I’m coping girls thanks . My lappy has been playing up as well as being in pain . Must have pulled muscles etc so only up to laying on settee at the moment .Joe has raised it up a bit with blocks
Grey old day out there.
Keep safe xxx
Glad to see you Jac.You’ve been through it lately.
Well from today we can buy clothes, handbags, shoes, toys etc!!! Hope the last 17days will make a little bit of good to curb the spread of the virus.Son no2 lives in England so he’ll have to stay there until they come out of lockdown.
Keep safe,
Oh thank goodness. Glad to see you’re back Jac.
Are you going out to shop Rhosyn?
Karen’s birthday today so she and Teri called down with some cake. Not a bad day.Take care xx
Had a blast round the bathroom this morning, but still need to put the cleaner round tomorrow - went all weak at the knees when I’d finished scrubbing!
Only one grandson from the bus this afternoon. The youngest has taken his pigs (with his mother) to the abbatoir. Loads of sausages on Friday!
A friend has lent me the box set of Tenko. Remember that?
Tenko-that’s a blast from the past Sue.
Did go shopping yesterday for clothes for the g.grandchildren.Bought lovely Christmas pyjamas for them.
Will be observing two minute silence at 11.
Keep safe.
Unfortunately and Occupational Therapist arrived this morning and spent ages faffing about with Rob and we completely missed the Two Minutes Silence. Felt so ashamed about it afterwards when I realised.
Neighbour has just called by to tell me about the Bowls Club Account (not sure which Bank) . They contacted one of the signatories to ask whether they could close down the account because it hasn’t been used for some time. What a cheek! I’ll have to write and tell them that we have every intention of using it as soon as we are able.
My bubble family coming this afternoon-granddaughter and g.grandchildren.That will buck me up.
Rain this morning but managed not to get too wet out walking.
Stay safe.
Tonight on BBC1@8 the programme SOS The big Build is the one from Caswell Bay.Don’t usually watch this programme but will record it or watch it on catch up.
I don’t usually watch it either Rhosyn, but may record that - just to get a look at my old stamping ground.
Day started beautifully but by the time I went to stand in the village (funeral of one of the old characters) it had gone cold, and dank. Came home chilled to the bone and sat in the kitchen to warm up with a cup of tea.
Picked the grandsons up from the bus and when their Mum came to fetch Chris she had a car full of joints of pork and sausages! They looked lovely and I’ve been promised some, which I’m really looking forward to. The next pair of pigs are coming on Sunday and Chris has already named them - Gino and ? (I’ve already forgotten what he told me). Watch this space.
I watched SOS but found it a bit boring Karen just called so relaxing now Keep safe xx
Went to Hay this morning for a haircut and picked up meds from the Surgery. Then had a total panic about 3 pm when the carer discovered that we hadn’t enough of one med to last the weekend. The Surgery were brilliant and issued a prescription for me to take to the chemist in town and fingers crossed the item will be there tomorrow for me to pick up.
Off to the farm shortly for roast pork dinner and to watch the Match. It’s Micky’s birthday, so would be nice if Wales stepped up to the plate!
