Rained heavily during the night but luckily had a dry walk this morning. It was nice to start the walk in the light. The hour’s change has confused the dog-he was ready to get up at 5.30.
Seems like Wales is in revolt about not being able to buy non-essential goods in supermarkets. The things you can buy and the things you can’t seems to be daft. There will probably be an announcement about it tomorrow.
No plans today.
Keep safe.
Personally I couldn’t give a toss about who buys what in lockdown, but I think the purpose of the ban was to stop folk browsing for ages in shops. Buy your groceries and go home. (Like that was ever going to happen)!
Started off with sunshine here but we’ve already had a heavy shower. No hope of getting the laundry out on the line.
Whatever happened to Dan Biggar last night ??? Bring back Leigh to kick I say!
Wasn’t going to mention the rugby but I never knew Bigger was French!!
Real wintry one ,pouring down .
Who decides whats necessary or not in your shopping . Karens kettle died yesterday but she couldnt buy one in the Supermarket !! Crazy . Just read we are going to have another Lockdown in Jan .
I’m not up to much so take care xxx
Yet another load of washing and another wet day. Getting stuff dry in this weather is no fun. Carers grumbling because the syringes to feed Rob with are stiff to operate and no more coming until 9th November so they can’t keep changing them willy-nilly! Rant over. Sorry.
Waiting for youngest grandson to appear shortly. He had to stay home to watch the calves being TB tested! (The bit where we are on edge comes on the day when the injection sites are measured, fingers crossed).
Horrible wet morning.Got soaked on the walk.
Another day indoors but will take the dog for a walk after lunch-the rain won’t stop us!
Keep safe.
What a day i had yesterday. Tidying up.fell over ,hit my head but managed to pull myself up. Blood spurting out of my head so grabbed a towel and phoned a neighbour She came straight away but when I removed the towel the blood was gushing out so she phoned Ambulance and my daughter . I felt ok and not hurt except for bleeding . This was at 9.30 am . They phoned 3 times to make sure I was ok and said not to eat nor drink anything . I went through 4 towels and then started on t-towels . I lay still and applied pressure . AT 5 pm they came . Gave me a thorough check and the bleeding had stopped . They said if they had got to me within 4 hours they could have just glued the wound but I would have to go to A&E. Morriston. They were in a car so couldnt take us so Karen had to drive . We got there at 7pm and was given 2 very thorough exams and then 4 stiches and Tetanus. Guess what time I got home ??? No food nor drink nor painkillers 3am !!! KnACKERED, When we left the waiting time was 10 hours
Karen has been down and did her best to get the blood out of my carpet and I’m just glad to be home …Take care and stay away from hospitals lol
Oh my lord Jac, what an outing. Hope you’re feeling OK today. You’ll have to take it easy for a bit.
Not much doing here. Grandson came over and we have been playing board and card games and eating…
What an outing you had Jac.Hope you’re recovering-take it easy.
Had some bad news yesterday my friend’s husband collapsed and died.Such a shock.
Also had good news, another friend of mine daughter in law had a baby boy after an emergency c section.
Keep safe.
Not feeling too bad .Laura came down and got rid of some more of the blood .what a mess. Tesco has been so now I’m feeling fit for nothing .
Caught up with the soaps i missed on my fire-stick so mainly back to normal
Sad about your friend Rhosyn but good about the baby
take care xxxx
Glad you’re feeling better Jac. Good news and bad news Rhosyn.
Was going to be a busy day - electrician, district nurse, new hoist fitted. So far, the electrician re-scheduled (but he has been), district nurse forgot to come (!) and we are awaiting delivery of the new hoist. Further bulletins tomorrow. Stormy day with flashes of sunlight in between. My friends in Canada just sent three lovely photos taken at the weekend. The colours are beautiful and apparently it has been like that throughout October - and warm! Think I’m becoming “nesh” in my old age. Do you know what that means? Or is it a Radnorshire word?
Rain and more rain-wet walk this morning.
No plans today.
Hope you’re feeling better again today Jac.
Keep safe.
I seem to be aching all over today ,worse than after the fall .i suppose thats normal .
Rainy one today so i’m not doing much
Take care xxx
Shot out this morning to do some banking at the PO and then collect meds for Rob. Got tangled up in road works which I hadn’t realised were taking place but was rescued by a council man who stopped all the traffic in both directions so I could extract myself from a parking spot! Bless him.
Have just made a rice pudding and am now researching birthday present for middle son on line, can’t decide what size he is!
Not a good start to the day-dog rolled in fox poo, what a stink but he looked so pleased with himself.
Made myself some coffee-don’t know how but missed the work top and my favourite Elvis mug smashed on the kitchen floor, coffee and mug bits everywhere. In the grand scheme of things that’s nothing but still it’s annoying.
Hope the rugby match later will be better than the last one we played,at least it’s a decent kick off time won’t clash with Strictly!
Hope you’re not in so much pain Jac.
Keep safe.
Still feeling lousy .Amazing what a little fall can do .Just doing what i’ve got to ,no housework lol
Pouring rain has just stopped here and brightening up
Not going to watch the news today , its making me feel worse
Keep safe xxxx
I didn’t need much in the way of shopping so cancelled my delivery from Asda for next Tuesday and got up early and went to Co-op in Hay. Was in there before 8 am (only two or three other people in the shop) and home by 8.10 am! Made the mistake of turning on the radio in the car on the way home, which depressed me so much I;m not listening to the news for the rest of the day.
Made me laugh about the dog and the fox poo Rhosyn - it must be like the perfumes of Arabia to dogs!
Hope you’re feeling better today Jac, take more painkillers!
Looking forward to the rugby in a bit, as you say Rhosyn, let’s hope it’s better than last week.
Luckily had a dry walk, kept dog on the lead when we went near where he found the fox poo yesterday!
There was a police helicopter circling the village 9.30 last night.Heard through the grapevine that there was a big car accident on the road into the village and one of the drivers made a run for it.Probably will hear more about it today.
November already.Keep safe.
WHITE RABBITS - again. Only seems five minutes since the last lot!
Such excitement in the village Rhosyn - I did have one small ghoul visiting me, but apart from that haven’t seen a soul.
I’m all rugbied out having watched 2 and a half matches. Well done England - I have some happy friends. Back to the drawing board for the Welsh side I’m thinking. Having lost Gatland and Shaun Edwards they’ve suffered a body blow.
Ah well, back to the washing…
i’ve got no news ,slept most of the day yesterday and fit for nowt today again
Damp and dreary out there.
Take care xxx
