Over 50's Wales Club

been windy an bloody cold here today, roll on summer:-)

It was the same for my children Nimby, nothing coincided with some of their friends. Half term was hardly worth having as we couldnā€™t really go anywhere. Fortunately living at Canford Cliffs, with the beach opposite, we could find plenty to do.

Really heavy rain today, unbelievable at times. Went into M&S for a coffee and the weather was quite pleasant. Came out to the heaviest rain possible.

Glad to see the back of the last couple of weeks, although the next few are going to be stressful.

Our village Tesco is a pain. In the mornings at around 10 a.m. itā€™s jammed packed with big huge pantechnicons waiting to unload. Customers canā€™t get near the place.

Nice to see you doc, moved yet?

Morning all. Glad youā€™re feeling better Celyn. Busy morning ahead. Haircut, optician, surgery to collect prescriptions etc. Will be glad to sit down after lunch. Real April weather here, either the sun is ā€œcracking the flagsā€ as my Mum used to say, or itā€™s back to the monsoon seasonā€¦

Not too bad here but rain is forecast for later
Nothing planned so just chilling
Glad you are feeling a bit better Celyn xxx

Hairdressers for me today and then a bit of shopping. Cold here today with a few showers.

My daughter had a free slot in her mobile hairdressing apts so she came down and scalped me lol

Sunshine and showers here today but luckily avoided the rain on our walk.
Going for a Japanese lunch later:-)

Sunny with showers here .Iā€™ve got washing to put out but not sure . What a decision lol

Heavy showers this morning but has been bright and sunny since ā€¦the breeze is a bit chilly thoughā€¦

Not a great start to the day. Carer came to tell me there is no hot water and no heating and then I discover that the Aga is out. :frowning: Put immersion heater on, managed to relight the Aga but have no idea why the heating didnā€™t come onā€¦ Watch this spaceā€¦

Sue hope you get the heating on again soon. Overcast here but the sun is trying to come through, waiting for my niece and her daughter and grandson to pick me up. We got a last minute deal to Ibiza so looking forward to it.

Have a good time Jess, do you mean you are going today ?
Hope heating etc sorts itself Sue . My hoover has decided expire on me . its still got good suction but the brushes are not going around so not a good job . Probably something simple wrong but no-one mends stuff these days
Lovely sunshine but a very fierce wind blowing

Arrived back in sunny Wales about 1ish.Stopped off at Sainsburyā€™s Bridgend so wonā€™t have to shop for a few days.Dog pleased to be back in his domain!

Thatā€™s spooky Sue because I thought it a bit cold this morning (well it did go down to 3.3C last night) My heating hadnā€™t come on. Just having a tantrum fortunately as with a few switch switching it burst into life. Is it difficukt to get the Aga going again?

Well tye said raid at 6 p.m. Bang on it started to pour and still is. The M3 a slow crawl back from Southampton to Winchester. All the Bournemouth/Dorset and New Forest traffic heading back to London after a fairly nice day this morning.

Youngest daught staying in the Celtic Manor for the weekend for their wedding anniversary. It is vast insideā€¦the longest corridor I have ever seen (except in a hospital or on a cruise ship)

Rainy day today
Iā€™ve got to go to see a mental health nurse for an assessment of my anxiety symptoms later. Hope she doesnā€™t keep me in . lol Iā€™m not at all sure it will help me but at least she will have seen others with the same symptoms so we will see . Fed up with feeling lousy

Weā€™ll come and visit you Jac :lol:ā€¦seriouslyā€¦hope she helpsā€¦
Horrible day hereā€¦going to get wetā€¦again
Weā€™re off to Street on Friday for a linedance weekend ā€¦so if anyone is planning a visit there ā€¦be warnedā€¦a 100 dancers will be thereā€¦

The mind boggles - 100 dancers in the street.

Talking to someone (anyone) usually helps Jac - we want to see you with your mojo back!!

Still very chilly here. Will phone DIL in a minute to see how she got on ordering the oil (we ran out, though I canā€™t think why weā€™ve used so much since January - especially since there have been several days when we havenā€™t had the heating on). The Aga will probably need the attention of my lovely service engineer to relight it (and the CH boiler). Good job I had a cheque from Ernie on Saturday, thatā€™ll just about pay him!

So pleased for my granddaughter, she qualified to go on to Derby (next round of the cross country competition) will see if I can remember how to put a photo on here.

Fab pic Sueā€¦congrats to your grandaughter

Very foggy this morning. On our walk this morning could hear a lamb bleating very loudly, must have lost his mum in the fog then we heard the mother sheep calling to it.They must have found each other cause it went quiet-so a happy outcome.
Hope you got some help yesterday-Jac.
Great photo-Sue.
Have a good day.
