Never done so much thumb twiddling in my life. Not good news from the hospital yesterday and although I did get to sleep I was awake again at 3 am and making tea. Rob seems more stable this morning so will go and make some soup and try and keep myself occupied.

Had a lovely hour with g.grandchildren yesterday.
Decided to paint the kitchen yesterday so stopped off at Home Bargains to get some emulsion-Shame youāre not near Sue or you could come and help!

Better news from the hospital today. They suggested we take in toiletries, clothes and his wheelchair. Had to put jump leads on the van, but we loaded all up and got going eventually. Spoke to the lovely sister who has been looking after him and he is quite a bit better. Rang this evening and the Staff Nurse I spoke to was, I think, Asian. I have nothing against Asians or anyone else for that matter, but I had great difficulty understanding her. However, I gather that they have started feeding Rob via ng tube, so letās hope thatāll get him system working again. Thanks for all your good wishes.

What a day. It poured here until about 4 pm. Luckily I had a visit from granddaughter and puppy, that helped to pass a couple of hours! Rob is going on OK and is off oxygen but still being fed through an ng tube. Bet heās missing his bath in the morning - and curry for lunch!
Weather better today-yesterday was a total washout.
I had to stop my painting yesterday,my shoulder starting playing up-just fiddly bits left to do today.

Hope Rob continues to improve . I just rang doc and asked if my sleeping tabs could be increased .Iāve been on them years and just cant get off to sleep. He just said "No"so thats it !!
Nice and sunny today so a bit of washing out and ran around with hoover so thats me finished
Just had e-mail from friend in Melbourne . They are getting a big spike of Covid at the moment so she is really worried

Iāve had the grandson (small) with me today, so the day has gone quickly. He wrote a lovely email to Rob this morning - hope he gets it OK. Son, DIL and large grandson have just picked him up - they have been to collect 10 baby calves from a dairy farm near Wrexham. This is Jamieās latest project and Iāll say heās got quite a job on his hands. They are so pretty - Aberdeen Angus bull crossed with Jersey cows, so most of them look just like baby deer!
Lovely sunshine today, but itās not very warm is it? Im wrapped up in a cardigan and am thinking of utting the electric fire on.

Robās doing OK thanks Jac. But he is not cooperating with the Swallow Team so they are still feeding him through an ng tube. Wonāt be able to come home until theyāve got him eating.
Lovely day here and Iāve had Chris to keep me company. We have wall to wall tractors out here. Micky has lots of fields cut for hay so they will be working till all hours tonight.

Iāve been thinking of moving for a while.Son no1 is moving to Oxford end of the month and since I wonāt have any ties in the village-I donāt get to see my youngest grandson who lives in the village. I want to move nearer granddaughter.But it all depends what this house is worth,I canāt afford to buy a higher priced property.Will get some valuations next week.

Had a phone call from the Speech & Language Therapist yesterday morning - asking for tips! I told him I was available, but no dice. Took clean clothes in in the afternoon and spoke to the senior SALT. He told me they had managed to persuade Rob to take some food by mouth so that was good. I spent nearly an hour this morning trying to get through to the ward for an update and when I eventually got through I could only just understand the nurse who answered the phone. All I got was āNothing newā and āSALT team not available today, they might come in tomorrowā. Talk about making no progress. Rant over.
Home alone today. Have had a few showers but the sun is shining now. I cleaned the shower this morning and replaced the shower hose - was quite proud of myself for managing that. Back to the jigsawā¦
That a bit of good news about Rob starting to eat Sue.Hope he continues to improve.
Rang an estate agent this morning,having the house valued on the 10th.He explained how things would be when someone comes which will work ok.He said that the housing market was good at the moment but he would say that wouldnāt he?!

Have discovered that the SALT team will not be attempting to get Rob to eat over the weekend - I have a suspicion that he will be back to square 1 by Monday. Grrrr. Let me at himā¦
Exciting time Rhosyn. Will you look before you start the selling process, or wait until itās sold? Which part of the country will you be moving to?
My granddaughter phoned for a chat yesterday. She does part time work with her other grannie in Burger King in Builth Wells. She said it has been manic there for a fortnight and on Friday they took Ā£3000! DIL says that Hayon Wye is packed to the gunwhales with tourists (most of them walking in the road), so I imagine all the local business owners have smiles on their faces.

Have to wait until I get a valuation on this house first to see how much I can offer for a new place.My granddaughter lives in Gorseinon so looking for somewhere in that area.
