I don’t know the Aberdeen area very well Dex but I believe the beach area is lovely. It really depends on what you like, personally I like old castles and just south of Aberdeen is a cracker it’s called Slains Castle, am heading there with my daughter once I get over my heart operation, both of us have always wanted to explore it because of it’s links to Dracula.

Aberdeen Hospital, the changes in the early 1970s.
If you got lost I am the one to blame.
Newly married, I needed the money, so Fridays driving up with a Volvo estate full of fixings for the signs, including over 2000 door numbers and screwing them in.
Cash in hand, not all the doors where the same size, so a pile of templates, then back down on Sunday nights to early start on Mondays.
Traffic was much lighter then.
Huddersfield to Aberdeen on Friday night, back on Sunday night.
Apologies if you got lost, speed was everything, start 5am Monday.
Each carcase had to be stamped.
The round brass stamps were numbered and only handed down on retirement., purple inkpad and each carcase marked in specific places,
None of the new stripmarks which came in later when we joined the EU.

Morning, Just back from town and the dentist, got to have several bits n bobs done…Groan, appointment end of next month. Not sure what’s on today, I’ve had my swim my latte at the ocean front but himself may have plans for us.

Aftnoon all … it started sunny but it’s gone right off now with threatening rain clouds.
Is it me or are the leaves starting to turn early this year with it been so dry. I feel like autumn is already here.
I’m off to the shops soon … might buy a bag of doughnuts whilst I’m out.
Your not wrong, the leaves are going yellow on my laburnum tree, quite a lot on the ground as well. 
This has been the strangest summer I’ve ever known.
Did you enjoy your doughnuts and ice cream? I’m quite jealous.
I did but I’m a tad full now … I really ought to eat a better diet

Good afternoon Folks,it’s been sunny here with heavy showers of rain in between,had to put the heating on for an hour as the house felt chilly…so…aye…Summer’s def’ over,
A Microwave I’d ordered was delivered and the Chap asked would I like Him to carry it indoors,I said no,that’s ok…by the time I got it through the hall and onto the kitchen table,My legs were ready for collapsing under Me…I sometimes forget I’m auld 
Well you missed a trick there … I’d have said yes. Anything to entice a young man in to my lair. I might even have given him biccies.
Anyway, microwaves can be quite heavy.
Evening. May the weather was similar here today sun and showers. Morty hope you enjoyed the doughnuts… Rox hope you get taken out tonight. Had my hair and nails done today and bought two pairs of shorts.

Morning, We’ve got sun and a bit of a breeze, not too hot either. Been to the pool, been to watch the waves with my latte and now home to do the washing.
Lunch with my girlfriends today too, time for a good old catch up n gossip.

Good afternoon Folks,…It’s been cold wet and windy here all day,so I’m going to cook a warming dinner for tonight…Steak,onions,mashed tatties & gravy,with custard and peaches to follow…yummy…Hope You enjoyed lunch with Your girlfriends Rox…I must say I miss doing the same.

Coughs … I could do with losing some tonnage. I blame all the ice cream but I’m now fat.
