Over 50's Club Scotland

A9 is a fine road to drive. It’s all the speeding idiots that don’t obay the signs. I tend to sit at 60mph dropping down as needed. The tourists are a pain driving through Drumochter Pass though, they slow right down to gawp at the stunning scenery, they forget they’re holding everyone up. :red_car: :face_with_symbols_over_mouth:

Morning, Wet n Windy today, had to go looking for an empty wheelie bin that decided to hide in the bushes at the bottom of the garden
No pool this morning slept in, hoping to go this afternoon if it’s not too busy, I’ll phone first to check, you simply can’t get any peace if it’s full of blooming kids messing about. That’s why I like my early morning swim, it’s peaceful and everyone else is doing lengths too.

Morning. Weather not very nice here today. Have the hairdressers later and I think I’ll be coming home after that. I’ll get the knitting needles out and start anther hat.

Ooooh, do you like woolie hats too? I have a good collection of them. :ok_hand:

I’m in luck … it’s a lovely day south of Hadrians windy wall.
I’m off out to the village to enjoy it … might buy a bag of doughnuts whilst I’m there but I really need to shed a bit of tonnage.

Sounds good, I miss my hikes with Dageus but I don’t like going off on my own to the forest or up river, I always felt safe with my dogs. Sure I would talk to people but the size of the dogs made people a bit wary.

Morning. Sun is out here but looks cold. Going into town later for a look round the shops, maybe buy anew pair of trainers, and have some lunch.

Morning, we’re back to high winds and rain again. Stopping at home again but out to dinner with friends tonight.

Morning. Hope you enjoyed your dinner last night Rox with your friends. Supposed to be sunny here today but its overcast and windy. Going to Sainsbury’s for a few things for my niece and I need some things as well.

Afternoon, Yes we had a nice time thanks. We were up early this morning as the Clydes needed a run, so we took them into the forest for a while then over to the beach for a paddle and a gallop. Not a sign of any pesky tourists, they were all still asleep, the Clydes fair enjoyed it and were quite frisky to get into the water. Evenings are out now until the tourists go home. Saw several motor homes parked where they shouldn’t have been, this is all going to end in tears one day I’m sure.
Just a lazy afternoon for me. :slightly_smiling_face:

A lovely day here but not nearly so scenic and peaceful … sounds wonderful taking the Clydes out.
Next week is supposed to be set to get real warm again , though I don’t know about Scotland.

how are the midges this year?

Midges so far are not too bad, I don’t think Scotland is due for the heatwave and I’m glad about that, I hate them they just wipe me out.

@Rox … thanks for posting the piccies … I love them. I love the horses. I love the coastline and the peacefulness of it.
Except … :100:… when there’s a storm!

Morning, Not long back from the pool, stuck in waiting for the locksmith to come and change the barrel in the front door, it’s stuck solid, the key goes in with a struggle but refuses to turn either way. Catching up with the washing and ironing today, want to change the bedding too, 6so it had better not blooming well rain.

It’s cloudy but warm here and I don’t like it. Says it’ll be 30 degrees tomorrow … they can shove that …
@valentinojess … the sea coming up the street! Eek! For some reason that made me think of 16th century storm tossed shipwrecks and everyone charging down to the beaches to claim washed up booty.

How atmospheric. I can see why you Scots are proud of your country …it is wild and beautiful.

Rox I got a load of towels washed and dried outside yesterday. Morty it was only if the weather was really bad that happened. Had fish and chips today so that saves me making dinner later.
