Over 50's Club Scotland

Morning, We all took an early beach walk before the rain came, and we had breakfast at the wee cafe at The Front. Lovely wee place, nothing fancy but clean and good food, it’s nice sitting outside to eat with the ocean noise in the background.
Raining now and there’s not much to do, Regan n Lily are leaving to drive home shortly so I expect it will be an afternoon on the computer with the audio book and a jigsaw.

A bit rainy here … when it starts it quite heavy but I had a wander down to the ships for a walk for some fresh air. It still feels warm to me though.
It was Saint Swithun’s Day last week . I’m trying to remember whether it rained or not,

I used to take my Granddaughter bowling in Thurso when she was a youngster. She is 30yo now and a School Teacher. Where do the years go?

Morning. Raining here this morning again. Popped into Primark yesterday for a few things that I needed. Want to go into town today but will leave it till later in the afternoon.

Had a cracker of a thunderstorm yesterday. It started off sunny and quite warm this morningf so I nipped out … now it’s going threatening looking again.

Evening, What a day, such heavy rain everywhere is flooded in the village and in Thurso, roads closed and rivers of water running down them. Not set foot out the door, tidyed the house and then sat for ages watching the rain.

Same here … there’s a couple of thunderstorms rolled through too. One’s on it’s way now.

Morning, It’s drying up nicely thank goodness. Heading over to Wick to the big Tesco on the outskirts for my big stock up. It’s a pain only having a wee Tesco near me. Might wander over to the Castle Sinclair Girnigoe ruins for a bit of a walk. I used to go there with Dageus often but not been back since I lost him, today I’ll grit my teeth and face it.

Evening. Weather wasn’t to bad here today. No rain thank goodness. Had my colour done today then met friends for lunch, it’s been a while since we met up. , Enjoyed a good chat and laughs talking about people we had worked with over the years.

You know lasses … the more you post about where you’re going for a day out the more I realise what a beautiful country Scotland is.

Morning. Morty, love the picture of your house. We do have a lot of lovely scenery up here. Housework this morning, then the Charity shop with clothes I don’t wear anymore, Then a visit to Sainsbury’s for some food shopping.

Is that our house at Kinclune ?

Hey Morty, You might enjoy this short video of where we live, it’s from the village to our East along the coast to Thurso.at our West. :grinning:

Afternoon ,Went to the pool but it was so busy, us regulars were not happy bunnies being invaded at thet time of the morning by noisy pests. :astonished:  :rage:
Having a bit of a job staying awake the past hour or so, might jump back into bed for an hour.
Have a good day.

@Rox … Loved the video. I just can’t imagine lviing anywhere like that … it’s a world removed from the hustle and bustle of the world, if you know what I mean. I’m envious but it must be a little remote in winter … and I hate gales and storms so I’d be a nervous wreck.

I’ve had a lazy day. I got sidetracked on Amazon.Bah!

Is it Baloney. Or only at. Dahomey Branches.
 All the way 2. CostCutters. As was. :crossed_fingers:

It is remote and wild, very nice if like me you like quiet. It’s a bit busy at this time of the year with tourists and we love it when they all leave, Thurso/Scrabster is the ferry link to the Orkneys and Shetland so it can get a bit hectic. AND, that NC500 is a bloody pest, we get invaded by entitled tourists in huge motor homes causing havoc. We do get real bad storms blowing in off the Atlantic, often Dageus and I dare not go near the cliffs or we’d get blown over. Caithness is the land of the winds.
